Does anyone experience a lag in the sound while seeking through a wmv file with MPC?

At the begining everything is fine, but if I seek through some wmv's, they loose sync!

I never had that problem with Windows Media files.
Of course, I don't like them at all so I rarely ever use them.

Try changing the Windows Media splitter.
For example, try toggling the option under [View] -> [Options] -> [Tweaks] -> [Use WM ASF Reader ...] (whatever it is set to, try the other value).
If that doesn't help, try installing an external DirectShow filter, such as ffdshow and making sure it is used for that fileformat.
