can you do the same job with norton ghost?

not sure--- i have not used acronis migrate

with norton ghost, one has to partition the receiving hdisk of same/larger size.

then the rest of ghosting is plain simple, in my case 160 gig in 3 hours no failure.

to be fair to acronis, i am a bit hessitant that acronis can partition, --- with marking out faulty sectors? and startling !!!!!!!!!-- acronis claim to be able to transfer over the pagefile.sys ??? !!!  THIS IS INTERESTING  but i am not going to risk my hd with acronis as in the past i used acronis to my pain. Now no more acronis for me ;-)

with regards to norton products, i would not say they are number one now.

norton ghost  with partimagic is my to keep  NO FAILURE

the other norton prog i keep is norton commander ver 95 and i still use it to this day ;-))
