I don't know about the traditional Acrobat, but one thing I do not like about Reader Pre-Release 8 is it's inability to decrypt DRM pdf's. I purchased a necessary eBook about a month ago, and have had no troubles in version 7. I've been able to transfer it to necessary computers, get my registration rights and poof!... there it opens.
However, this version will not initiate such registration. Whenever I try to open it up, it goes straight to Adobe's eBookMall to search for eBooks. I log in to Adobe with my account.... still no luck. And of course, the noob at Adobe tech support knew absolutely nothing about my issue. He recommended downgrading back to v7, which I guess I'm going to have to do, unless some of the wiser here can give it a whirl.
BTW, the book can't "go"... It's necessary for students. And purchasing the hard copy doesn't really weigh out, either. I can't justify spending so much money on another book version vs. free pre-release software, ya know? I don't think I really want to print it out, either, as it would take 700 pages..... it'd cost less to buy the hard copy... lol.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. If not, take care and have a great one!
