I was disappointed in ZoneAlarms when my PC got infected by a email worm named "win32.malF. *something*". ZoneAlarm detected the worm, but it said that the worm cannot be treated.

I then switched to Kaspersky, and everything has been really smooth.

Dont use anti spyware for Outpost too slow . The firewall is the best . use Ewido rum faster for your system .

Some of these kiddies sounds like they've never had toys in they're lives,
and then suddenly they can have some and gets crazy .. and don't talk
about those who like to spam al the time thinking by them selfs they're
smart doing such a waste of time. I thought that in warez world people
where a bit more serious about all here.

the patch doesnt works too returns to trial after reboot also there is freezing at startup and all the processes started dont come to taskbar i suggest either stick to 3.51 or wait until there is someone who has an unpatched solution
btw the versions of both posts are same

Thanks! Lot of luck was yesterday lately download the file and got the Version: Outpost Firewall Pro ver. 4.0.964.6926 (582) allready.
Not sure if its good to block general the keyword in urls " Agnitum " and " netidentity "
Second url is used by type in the key!
Think possible it block the manufactor site from access to the progra what it should!
Anyone have tested the patch in the topic from yesterday? May be the same result???

P.S. Patching a Firewall or a Antivirus Im not sure if it dont open (patch in) on the same way a backdoor?!

I have used the patch yesterday, but only today I test Outpost in GRC.COM.

My port 80 is OPEN and I never had a result like this. :(

Not sure if this is due to the patch (I'm not here to acuse anyone), but I'm considering to switch to Look 'n' Stop.

Someone here have checked it out?

226 Days or 726 days I think before that keys expire allready another Version will be out!
762 days maybe change hardware between or a new OS installtion! :) :)
Anyway is there a solution to change the Key after installation without uninstalling and new installation????

here is some good advice..

get teh key from 9down's download link.
get the program from agnitum's website
block your internet connection until you have done the following..

after install turn off all the plugins (including spyware) except attack detection.
turn off download news, turn off logging and auto updating
and make sure to block AUPDRUN.EXE (block agnitum updater)
lastly you may wanna make sure you have security level to normal during install.
and i like to turn off compoent control to save on nagging / alerts.

this setup is really low on resources & nagging and
for me its using about 4,440k memory right now :)

Yes , you may disable update for sure if you dont use antispyware , but some of noobs should use improvenet and also automatic rule creation these to will be also updated through Agnitum update.

logs are totally cool feature (esential for me) of OP I cant live without it do not disable it.

Turning off component control is not wise move , you will no longer pass some leaktests (e.g. some malware will having success connection)

said it is suposed to be a Retail ver in RUS & ENG , naturally, u still need to put a key.

If problems running Outpost 4 with Webroot Spysweeper 5 - try this: Stop the Anti-Spyware plug-in and uncheck the Enable Self-Protection in the tools-menu for Outpost.

Sorry for this (spamming almost). But regarding the FlashFXP 3.4.1 (build 1149) BETA. Initially the file will tell that the program is not registered, BUT simply choose enter code - and voila - the code is there!

I have connected by other ISP and now all ports are invisible (stealth mode).

Shame on the other ISP...

But of course the RE-CON question is a vital one. So I insist: someone here have checked it out?

Some ISP having AV , FW and other on line services , make sure to disable it all on your account page (if you having your own protection) then try port scaner again.

Agnitum does not check keys through Agnitum (automatic) update , Im using update for long time , never had any problems.

P.S. Only major update (were product number change e.g. 3.0 to 3.5) can screw your key so there is no need to pach or block.

I have a compability problem with Avast. Warning at install. Outpost recommended an exclusion. Nevertheless I had several freezes at reboot. Tried 2 keys (728 and 574 days). Tried the anti-serverpatch. I'm now back to version 3.51 with still 141 days to go :-((
Has anyone a sollution ? Read another freeze in a post on 28-9, but concerned the RC4.

"If users (of Avast) still prefer to use their module settings on HIGH, they can still do so, except for STANDARD SHEILD, which must be kept on DEFAULT setting. If set to HIGH, (OP4) will freeze on bootup."

Do not use patch you have fully functional key.

"for changing key ,Start → Agnitum → Outpost Firewall Registration → Enter key... "

To Salmonela: I switched all Avast settings to default. Still Outpost warns for compability problems and freezes at bootup. I read that lots of people are waiting for a solution. Maybe give Comodo a try ?

It is a SHAME: i've been using v3.51 for some time, and ALL the v4 betas screwed up my sys... anyway... i trid this so called "final" version... and guess what, after saying "u are using avast antivirus.... known uncompatibilities.. blah blah blah", so booted the pc as asked, and guess what ! after the "WELCOME" message a beep sound was heard... and a nice message appeared: a system file can't be found at C:/windows/system.... etc... and the PC just wouldn't start windows, or desktop, and the control panel just crashed !!!!!!!!!!

The thing is i had to reinstall windows, drivers, etc, to make my pc work again, and then remove the v4 of the outpost... reinstalled v3.51, and i'm playing smoothly...

I was really disspointed by the low compatibility, stability and reliability of the nwe version..

BE WARNED !!!

Comodo is unleakable... But after allowing svchost to enter internet for doing the test, it wil fail to respond the 2nd test. Back to Outpost 3.51 for now. All of a sudden it boots slower. Strange, never happened before.

Thinking of trying out NOD or Kaspersky (although I tried it before and I like Avast). Tried NOD as a part of HitmanPro. Found nothing.

Don't like Ewido. Slowing down the system somehow after cleaning up some trojans. Had to use system restore for gaining speed. I use Spyware Doctor 4 instead (+ outpost + arovax). Sunbelt Counterspy freezes.

How comodo come the best? after install and chedk it left a open port (don`t stealth all ports), the resources are about 22mb, but the antispyware comsumes about 15-20mb more. Outpost comsumes 38mb with antispyware and others plug-ins running

Oh.... (for Salmonela) Outpost 4 froze my system even without Avast. Now checking out Comodo. Comodo failed PC Flank leaktest; text was shown on site. Tomorrow back to Outpost 3.51 (and probably Avast; now testing ActiveVirusShield from AOL/Kaspersky).

My Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro v4 warns me from time to time that there is a spyware on my system and I always hit "Fix all", but after about 10 - 15 minutes the warning appears again, so I do the same - I "fix all" without any success apparently. Since the problem persists, I've been trying various antyspyware products - two for now - Spyware Doctor and SpySweeper (not at the same time, of course), but there is an extreme incompatibility between these programs and the Outpost. My system freezes instantly after the next (necessary) boot, so I've spent hours removing SpySweeper. Has anyone of you had the same or similar problem? Which effective antyspy program is compatible with Outpost?
And one more thing - I've noticed that the new version (i.e. v.4) is a bit hog itself and it slows down my system startup. Shoul I stick up with Outpost 4, or should I use any other firewall? What about Comodo, Jetico, Sunbelt Kerio Personal, or maybe even Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6 (even thout the latter is a corporate & enterprise network firewall)?

Hi Guys, I have been using 3.5 for ages now and am delighted with it...unfortunately I let it update to ver4 and the trial period lapsed and now none of the reg keys work...
Can you suggest a way round this?
