I can not make alcohool work. Please tell me how, i am going crazy... I installed, i run activator and it has 5 buttons, in this order : Activate Register Forbid Url Allow Url Information. It what order should them be pushed ? Should I change the name , e-mail address or url written above ? HELP !

paste the code into the box - click register , activate etc .
When it works it wants to call home , block it with your firewall , dumb-ass

after uninstalling a program use a good registry cleaner to remove all traces of it.
You still have traces left in your registry.Delete every entry in the program files folder too.
Then you should be able to make a clean install of either this or your old one.

Yeah. The activator doesn't seem to work for me either. I did all the steps and even checked the host file to see that all the entries were blocked. Still says unregistered.

Yeah it's definately the activator. I've been hearing reports about it from other sites as well. I've even downloaded it from 5 different places, no dice.

so we wait for the updated activator:)

I did all the things too. The first thing that happened when i started the program was Agnitum Outpost firewall asking me if it was ok for alcohol to access the internet. No - I replied - thus blocking all access. Works like a charm...

Same here. Program unregisters itself. Will revert back to v1.9.5.4212 until better activator.

I've heard it from BetaMaster himself. The program is somehow bypassing hosts file when connected to the internet. The only way to disable this is use a firewall of some sort to completely stop any internet activity with the program.

I use blocker.exe and it works like a charm.

Just out of curiosity, did the blocker actually patch some files or did it just install a loader?

I'm kind of cumfused there since it dropped an Alcohol.exe and an offsets file...

Okay, just tested blocker.exe some more and I've noticed a strange problem.

If I use Alcohol 120 with it installed, and restart my machine, it will stall on the 'Welcome' screen a bit until the desktop appears.

Blocker appears to work for me. BUT(theres always a but) I get socket error when I open Alcohol 120. But program works fine. So far so good.

About Welcome screen... I haven't this problem. Are You tried restarting without blocker? Or You have A120 in autostart?

smae shit just on another prog. 1st flashget say registerd, but only after every time when it start put in trial screen the key now this does the same. Accept reg well but required by every start. Any help???

My goodness this cd dvd tool have so much securety as the game Reunion as i was need to disconnect the cd drive cable for the patch.
Please very much can anyone only pack the folder with the alcohol installed registered and working and looking the registry when u got it. I will take the time to create a new installer or anyone use a creater to make installations will be the best work around neeeded for this progry.
When u have it for sure registered do:
1. save all files of the installed one might be /program files/alcohol/
2. look the registry and export the reg files for this program
3. zip or what ever the reg keys and the files from installed alcohol
up it to rapidupload cause rapidshare please dont use.

another one please take the time use any free or not installation creator meybe winrar in exe self installer or 7zip
create a new setup as well. just the reg files for importing needs to do seperatet cause winrar will not put the regestry entries in.

Voila You No1 cause no one ever needs tu run the whole progress again.

just up not to rapidshare change share with upload then its rapidupload, no reporting in there cause no collection of IPs who was downloaded. Counter for the statistican is maybe not there but who is interestet how many Beans are in one Pot goes.

as long as you can find the download, edit its registry file's ip address, which will stop its validation.

Can you be more specific about the registry location.  I haven't been able to find an obvious IP address in any entries that have "alcohol" in them.  Thanks in advance!

I think the blizzard is a joke cause you aint to run app with normal shortcut, I bet in day or so it will stop working same as above, but I think the new Betamaster 2nd patch should be good esp if you block app with real Firewall.
