AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software.AnyDVD is capable of removing unwanted movie features, including subtitles and prohibition messages such as copyright and FBI warnings. It also allows you to launch an external application whenever you insert or remove a disc, or prevent 'PC-friendly' software from automatically launching when you insert a video DVD. Decryption is not all that AnyDVD offers. You can control the drive speed of your DVD drive, allowing you to reduce the noise level when watching movies on your PC. You can even adjust the display frequency of your monitor for both NTSC and PAL displays. But AnyDVD doesn't just stop at DVDs. It also decrypts protected audio CDs to allow you to copy them.
Changes in v5.9.5.9 (04/26/06): - New: Added support for a new version of the Sony Arccos protection to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
Dang it! Not again PETN!! Another proggie with a non working fix. I had to uninstall, remove the reg info and re-install 5858. If the fix doesnt work...why post it??? You know this girl is gonna keep beating up on ya..hehe...Tia :)
But this time it's not completely my fault; the 9down published my post after almost one whole day. When I submtted the "story", two working patches were already available in the AnyDVD 5.9.5.8 thread (it's always advisable to look the topic of the former program version again, due to the 9down's delay between submitting and publishing the posts).
In the past, moderators of 9down changed my posts and put their own "4 in 1" patch instead (sometimes nonworking). So what was I supposed to do? Post the link to always reliable rESin8 patch, or SND v1.27 for which I wasn't sure it was working 100% (it takes several hours to confirm it as working)? I found it somewhat odd to post the link to rESin8 patch because I should first ask him for the permission and second, the link was already available in the 5.9.5.8 thread...
The most important thing is we have the working patches (again)...
Have you ever tried to type with the pencil? It's a nice "patch" when having problems with the nails. :-)
Take care.

Well it looks like rezoid8 posted it in the AnyDVD 5.9.5.8 thread.

1. Uninstall any previous version completely
2. Clean registry (not needed, but just incase)
3. Install AnyDVD 5.9.5.9
4. Apply Universal patch 1.27
Attention: If you don't make a clean install you will always get file corruption

WTF??? Why does everyone always post a million f*cking links everytime a program is posted? I don't trust any of these links posted by random members. Does it make you guys feel important to post useless links after proper links were posted in the first place?
@ Tia: I forgot to add... now I'm expecting an apology, as v1.27 is a working patch. Hehe... ;-) The problem is people doesn't know how to use the SND patches; then the easiest thing is to say the patch is not working... :-/

there's no problem with 1.27 patch. and about the update-rumour: both patches don't modify anything for the update-progress.
Thanks for the 'official' confirmation of the patch validity! Surely it would finally stop various rumors once and for all. Well, at least for v1.27...
Regards.
PS: Tia, now I'm waiting for that apology even more eagerly. :D 您能读中文?

Just one a question. Is AnyDVD better? or Is DVDIdle Pro better?
