I tried the previous build and found it very unstable. Upon each switching from windowed mode to full screen it would give me a BSOD, no matter would I use the "hardware" or "software" renderer.
Imagine this: the poor old Media player classic with the newest ffdshow or/and pure video codec (only for Nvidia cards)+ ac3 filter (all kinds of audio input-outputs, spdf and analog) works like charm. Completely configurable. Good picture with full 5.1 audio.
I erased the PowerDVD player right away.

Which one is better? This or the WinDVD?
