Has anyone figured out that WHY these versions still reflect 6.0 after installation? This is second in a row....aargh!

Becuase they are only updating the decoder get the media player 10 video decoder checkup utility from microsoft corperation then u may understand what the updates are doing.This is Cyberlinks best yet tops 7 by far.

Is it newer than PowerDVD 6.0.0.2003e?

there is no distinction between any 6.0 version. also would be nice to have a key to activate features to see any new features have been added

 
This is pretty typical for PowerDVD from what I've seen in the past.  I wondered the same thing about a previous version and after checking the version number of a bunch of the support DLLs, I finally found where the new version number came from.  I've also seen where the main .exe has been updated (different size, time/date stamp and stuff), but they just neglected to change the version info in the properties and the About box.  Too bad they're not as thorough about the process as they should be...

Is it true even after applying the updated patches available on the official website? Has anyone tried it? May thou enlighten us.......!

 
Yeah, that's actually what I was referring to.  I'm a little leary of these "special packages". Heh

has anyone got any links to the enhancement packs such as dts etc.
