The file olin666 provided doesn't work with the Pro Premier edition that BigFatAss posted. Specifically you won't be prompted for a license key when you're installing, but the license.dal isn't copied over to the install directory, and even if you do copy it over yourself, once you run Diskeeper it will ask you to activate or shut down in 30 days.

While we're on the subject of hard drives, does anyone know of a good programe for data recovery?

Use jkdefrag instead..it's way faster and it's free

i tried dexters fix and got the message 'trial information was not found or patch has already been applied'
this was the first time i was using this fix?

Dexter patch works on build 701, NOT build 703!

Only thing new with build 703 is the activation, they have changed something.

albert009: what you posted is not working, if you have passed the 30 days. From all the versions I found only RicaNeaga's is fully activated.

I followed exactly the instructions as well as clean my registry etc, but the activation procedure keeps repeating each time I open Diskeeper and the "defrag" button is gray.

P.S. I really hope that a working fix for the 701 or 703 build gets out...Probably it wiil be a legitimate Tab.dll shared from a legitimate activated 701/703 build... I will use it also... until then... 698 is the only way

Albert009, moving your clock 2 months ahead does not mean anything. If it was that simple whenever you wanted to run a program with expired trial, you would just reset your PC's time to the installation date.

Nope... actually 698 the latest... but it doesn't have a fix done by you know who... it simply has two original dlls taken from an original copy of diskeeper after legitimate activation... and they simply do the job...

Please ... anybody... test the 701 version...

If 701 build works, maybe the same Tab.dll can make it work for the 703 build... In the past, another Tab.dll made two different builds to work... 693 and 698... now I will test it with the 703 build!

But please... I ask of you once again... to be 100% sure it works for the 701 build, all the ones who can't make diskeeper to run please test it from here...

Also, I don't know if I put an Instructions text with this build or not... I can't remember... so:

1. Install the 701 build;
2. Stop the diskeeper service from task manager;
3. Copy the two dlls to the instalation folder;
4. Start diskeeper.

Ok... thank you babis... then that's it... after I'll get rid of vista, I'll reinstall windows xp and see if this the 701 or the 703 build works more than 30 days with the Tab.dll I got from cdx304 (hope dies last). I'll get back in 40 days and tell you my results. Until then, I hope a real fix comes out.
