With Diskeeper 2008 Home installed, your computer will run faster - period. Long waits, sluggishness, freeze-ups and crashes will be a thing of the past.
Diskeeper 2008 Home is unlike any other product on the market today. Now, more than ever, it is important to have a system that is reliable and performs at the peak of its ability.

There are many softwares that promise theses features, but can't deliver.

Diskeeper is waaaaay overrated. I can't believe people still buy into Diskeepers hype.
If you want a good defrag software try either Perfectdisk, which actually makes a difference, or the free Jkdefrag. Perfectdisk still performs slightly better than Jkdefrag but Jkdefrag is minimal in every way and is not so memoryhungry. You decide what you prefer. But do not use Diskeeper, it's just not as good.
Check out http://donnedwards.openaccess.co.za/
He has reviewed a ton of defrag software and look closely at his Diskeeper reviews. Especially the latest version. You will be surprised :)
I read from some website that perfect disk burnsout your hardrive and diskeeper keeps your disk healthyer... , normal harddrives have also max write and read limit!!!

diskeeper's Resource Control is much better than perfectdisk or o&o.
if you want manual defragment? use anything.
if you want automatic defragment? use diskeeper.
RE:Diskeeper Home Edition 2008 12.0.758t by Jack_Bauer on 2007-11-12 10:28:46
maybe diskeepers better resource control makes it inferior in the defragment part?
"if you want manual defragment? use anything."
so if you dont defrag regularly use anything, even if it wont do a good job? stupid argument.
"if you want automatic defragment? use diskeeper."
if perfectdisk/o&o/others perform better i should still use diskeeper because it has better automatic defrag? stupid argument again.
you arent payed by diskeeper to say these things right? one would think so.
you clearly dont want the best out of your harddrives/defrag software. too bad.

Jeez, Windows Vista contains a fully automatic built in "diskkeeper" type optimization program thats fully automated! LOL, start the Vista Media Center>Click Settings>Click Optimization>Check the box that says "Perform Optimization" Its defaulted at 4am which most people are asleep at that time anyway. I use it in Vista Home Premium and it keeps the hard drive nicely defraged. Moves frequently used files to the outer area of the hard drive platters for faster access and moved the infrequently used files to the center. Why would someone want to buy this diskkeeper program when its basically built into almost all systems already? Not a flame just a point to ponder...

Don Edwards is no authority on defraggers. He puts too much weight on whether the program will defrag his zillion gigabyte SQL file with 1MB of space left. Diskeeper is pretty good but I find it does too much drive grinding if you leave it on auto. I use Ultimate Defrag once a month and MST Defrag for real time defragging. Not a big deal anyway... built-in defragger is fine for most people.

I have been using the Diskeeper 2007 version on my PCs for a while now and i think its extremely good. It does not eat into system resources and defrags are very thorough.
