I used to think Xvid was the best, but after using this new 6.2 Pro I must say DivX is now the clear the winner. The quality is superb in the insane setting in this codec! Xvid for me was good, but I kept getting audio/sync problems in my last few encoded films, but now with this new DivX one near MP4 perfection is coming to the fore and my encoded films are damned good- near DVD quality with 2 pass. I still think however multinth pass is unnnecessary in DivX and 2 pass is enough like in Xvid.
Come on Xvid developers get your act together!

You are able to use the DivX Pro codec because is a trial of 6 months. Before 6 months if you want to use the Pro codec you need register it.
