I have to say one more thing:
- Diskeeper 2007 works alot faster than it's previous edition (Version 10) - It defrags alot better 500% better than the classic defragger from Windows.
In other words, it's worth to have on your system(s). It makes your computers running alot faster.

If anybody would be so kind and post the right product key. I've downloaded the file provided by 9down, but it's a trial. I've tried to install the app with using a licence - not working. I've tried to activate - it tells me that the number of activations permitted per license has been reached (exceeded). So? Any ideas how to activate this? Kind regards.

The “License.dal” file must be in the installation folder, before installing the program.
To properly apply the license, before installation extract “License.rar” and put the file “License.dal” in the Diskeeper installation directory, C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\Diskeeper by default.
Once the “License.dal” file is in the installation directory, extract and run Diskeeper 2007 v11 installing the program. While installing choose the options as you wish until the “Select your registration option” window comes up. Choose “never register Diskeeper 2007” and click next. The program will now be registered and you will no longer get the “Buy” nag screen.

Another piece of crap i see they've conned you into thinking is good. if you know what you're doing and use your computer wisely , you'd find that months and months go by without the need to defrag.
Well dude, you would be better to use a playstation instead of writing such stuppied reactions, perhaps you should learn how to use a computer. Nothing goas better than a good defragmented hard drive, than a messy hard drive where the disc has all difficulty to find his files back when you need it.
If you admit that hard-drives need to be de-fragged but think this program is a "piece of crap" please tell us about a better one and why it's better?

It is a piece of crap! Starting with version 10 Premium or not this software is not working on my computer 320 GB 2 hard drives in RAID. Used to be a good one but until then is a long way. Try O&O Defrag 8.5 made in Germany works like a dream. Faster and more features and no problems on my RAID system. Diskeeper found 1.01% fragmentation on 320 GB !!!! Hard Drive. O&O found 5.4% and fixed in less than 20 min. Just try it.

To all the STUPID **[ 9down.com refused this word ]**S....Read the posts that are here if you want this to work.....DAMN.... Here it is ONE MORE TIME.... BEFORE running the setup file, open Windows Explorer, and goto C:\Program Files, and create a new folder, name the folder Diskeeper Corporation, giving you C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation.
Now click on the Diskeeper Corporation folder, and create a new folder, name it Diskeeper, now you will have C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\Diskeeper.
Place the file License.dal into this folder, and then run the setup file......
WOW!! it works....BTW Don't update, hit cancel when the option comes up, and you will have this working. Now wasn't that simple.....

I can't understand why to install a trialware?
Where is the full *.exe? We used to have the retail version in previous releases :)
Looks like Executive Software changed it for 2007 version and only has trial install and with a valid key it makes trial version a full working Retail, otherwise why would they have under Action menu/Enter LIcense Key.

Help installing Diskeeper 2007 software
After you have downloaded the software you will need to install Diskeeper 2007. To do this you need the Diskeeper 2007 exe file, and the file License.DAL to be in the same folder and on a drive identified by a letter (C:, D:, etc.), not a letterless drive. If they are not in the same folder, then when you start the install, you will be asked for a 29-digit authorization key. This indicates something is wrong - please double check the instructions above.
Double-click on the Diskeeper exe file and follow the prompts. The files will be unpacked, the correct setup.exe (32-bit or 64-bit) will be selected, and the Installer will be run.
When you are asked if you want to register, you can select Yes, and you will be connected to our website. For your registration number, enter ESD (for Electronic Software Distribution). If you do not want to register, select Cancel, then Never Register.

I will continu using my version 10 (Pro Premier) edition untill i find a full retail package. This still work good without any troubles of registration.

Look it does not matter if you keep your disk tidy or not. Every time a file is openedused it is replaced back on the disk in little bits all over the disk. Over time this gets worse as more and more files are used and files already used are further fragmented. Thus it is a good idea to defragment your disk on a regular basis(monthly). The benefit can be easily seen in the response time of programs esp games and the loading of levels. I do not know if DK is a great product but I do know it is better than the defragmenter that comes with WinXP Pro and that is why I use it instead of the WinXP defragmenter. I find it does a good job and it is fast.

I used to have Diskeeper 10, but swapped to PerfectDisk 8.0 because all reviews said it was more effective. I have to agree with the reviews although I still cannot get it to defrag my system files, as it cannot tell me what is accessing my C drive at start up and thereofore cannot redress the problem. At the moment I am quite happy with Perfect Disk, but like anyone, always am looking for better software. Has anyone got experience with PD8.0 AND DK2007 and give me some advice as to whether I should go back to Diskeeper or stay put with Perfect Disk? Thanks

A lot of people are having a problem with the "exceeded number of activations permitted per license". I would suggest disconnecting or banning internet access during installation and banning internet access after.

Thanks for the reg file, but it still won't activate. It's telling me the license is either invalid or I've exceeded the number of activations permitted per license.
At this point, you may need to uninstall the program, clean the registry (you can delete all instances of "Diskeeper" with no deleterious effects) and reinstall with your internet connection off.

This did work for a few others, but that was early yesterday my time, before the "exceeded number of activations permitted per license" problems.

I cleaned the registry of all references to Diskeeper, but when I reinstalled it, it still remembers that it has 28 days left. There must be some setting in the registry somewhere not listed under "Diskeeper".
Check your registry for an instance of "Leadertech". Did you have Diskeeper installed before version 11?
Since this was first posted here on 9down, I have installed and uninstall this program at least 10 times (including once about two hours ago) and have had no problems getting it to Activate. There has to be some inherent difference keeping some people from getting it to work

I didn't have v.10 on my system, but I doubt that is the problem. I think you are right, there must be a non-descipt Key somewhere in the registry.

I had some difficulties while importing - some part of the .reg file has not been included into my registry ("access forbidden"), but... Atm there is in Action menu such position like Activate Diskeeper now, but I cannot run it ;)
Hope this will work for more than 27 days (which I still have in trial period).
Or maybe someone will post the retail version.

Yeah, probably a non-descript key in the registry like you said. I deleted "Leadertech", rebooted and tried installing v11 again and it still says there are 28 days left and it gives me the same errors when I try to activate.

sal_er, I don't think your version is properly registered. That was a big file, one reason I didn't want to post it along with the fact that it seems it only works for some people.
To get the file, I used Registry Workshop to search the registry for "Diskeeper". After seeing the different License entries, it occurred to me that Diskeeper made a mistake by leaving that information "in the open" ... I guess they didn't. The file did work for some people; probably just the way some are able to get this program to work with no trouble.

In the program, go to the "Action" menu. If there is an "Activate Diskeeper Now..." entry, I do not believe the program is activated and will only be usable for 30 days.

Well, I use the same app for managing my registry ;) If I didn't I probably coulldn't have import the .reg file posted by you.
When I rebooted my system - the application stopped working. So I deinstall and reinstall it. But (why there is always "but"? ;) ) it doesn't work anymore. Huh, I'm done ;)

the clock trick works, but I don't want to screw my date... guess I will wait for a new patch.
Double click the system tray clock (lower right hand corner of screen). In the "Date and Time Properties" window > Date & Time tab > Expand the "Month" box and choose "December" > Click "Apply" and you are done!

Some people are definitely beyond help. This is a fully-functional trial. This program is not crippled in any way, shape or form. The only limit is the time (30 days). If you had a brain and installed it properly, you will see that this fully-functional program will never expire. As it is fully-functional, it is a full version. So, please stop asking for "Wah! Wah! I want the full retail version! This sucks! 9 down lied to me! 9 down bent me over and screwed me while forcing me to download this Diskeeper!" LOL

Don't worry about the "27 days remaining". It won't stop working. I turned my clock ahead 60 days and it said I have 170 million days left. When you have 0 days left it will automatically change and say you have 170+ million days remaining. It is working and has been tested.

hi survector, but you didn't leave your clock changed did u? Cos I'd hate to leave my computer's clock 60 days forward all the time.
So many people have worked it out with the instruction but it is a fact for a small proportion of people the license file does not work. Why? Is it because we were running Diskeeper 10 Pro? Or something else?
I'm really interested to see what'll happen when my trial expires. One thing's for sure I wouldn't leave my clock 60 days forward. I've tried that and it did give me that million day trial period but as soon as I turned the clock back to normal it's back to the real trial period again.

Welp, problem here. Appearantly the license.dal is needed only for the installation. Nobody took care of what happens after the grace period.... I've looked everywhere and no solution in sight. So for now, unless any of you got a better suggestion I'm reverting to 608.
