FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder is a DirectShow decoding filter for decompressing DIVX movies, picture postprocessing, and show subtitles. It uses libavcodec from ffmpeg project or for video decompression (it can use xvid.dll installed with xvid codec too), postprocessing code from mplayer to enhance visual quality of low bitrate movies, and is based on original DirectShow filter from XviD, which is GPL´ed educational implementation of MPEG4 encoder.

Pleez, anyone knows what software I can use to integrate subtitle in a different file into an AVI video? I want the subtitle to play with the video and not to load it separately. Please help. Thanks in advance.
You can:
A. use Matroska, the mkv file container... it's like avi but you can put more in the same file... this includes subtitles... so instead of having 2 separate files they are bundled and loaded aut.
B. see doom9 (dot) net forum for info on integrating subtitles in the video picture... but I don't encourage you to use this method
