FlashGet formerly JetCar, displays download progress in ranks of glittering dots, but its acceleration is not as pronounced as most. Its inability to start a download without confirmation makes for slow starts. We ran into difficulty locating configuration settings, a problem aggravated by a help system that apparently belongs to an earlier version. Nonetheless, the software managed and categorized our sample downloads efficiently.

Did they (finally) fix the two bugs:
1) parts more than seem to be
2) rapidshare downloading charges twice or three times the downloaded amount?

Why does FlashGet need patch ?
I remember FlashGet has become a freeware without AD inside from last version.
Am I right ?

the free license force you to see the "banner ADs" in the top of FlashGet when it's opened but after you apply the patch "full lincense" the banners disappear ...

this is what I know, hope I helped ^____^

beside the banner off it Optimize max allowed download chanel limit from default 8 upto 100

splitting each one in 30 parts or 100 parts, how can I do, above all tweaks don't work.

Dear gag,

I'm a mathematician myself too which switched to programming/web development!

I feel that I have to disagree with you on the IDM/FlashGet comparison,
at least in terms of 'elaboration',
tried that sometime (IDM),
but I have to say that FG is much more customizable than IDM,
has many many more options than IDM,
except if you mean sth else with the term 'elaborate'.

You're right!

Flashget is more sophisticated than IDM:
sorry about a confusion!

However, IDM is much faster!

Now, FlashGet is mandatory with most chinese sites:
here is the unique reason why I keep on using it.

i wanna change interface(buttons,icons), but file "flashget.exe" - encrypted.
you can add language files from original version(1.73)
file "unreg.inf" - no need
how you make 10000 parts ?

i unpack flashget.exe with universal extractor, but no posible change any resourses (encrypted)
