i used Flashget for years but regret to tell that new versions of 1.84 are really crap. i have tried Orbitdownloader and regret to tell that orbit is much much better/FASTER than flashget.

Newer versions of flashget are very bad!
Orbit is better and free.

i am using 1.72 and it is fine; works well with firefox. don't forget firefox needs an add-on called flashgot.
no complaints- i like it

It's for modifying the default download limitation (from 10 to 30 parts) and download jobs (from 8 to 100) if I'm not mistaken

I agree with all of u that Orbit is fast. But Orbit could support more protocol than FlashGet.
Furthermore, in many sites, Orbit cannot download although it catch files
