FlashGet Version 1.80 beta 1 (2006.11) I can't see v1.8 . It's have 1.73 only.

So, this is a beta, i went to the site and they say this would be the final version. Will there be a full(final) 1.8 build soon?

Yeah, well Getright's had bittorrent support since ages and works quite well too. And another interesting feature of Getright is its ability to accept metalinks, meaning which you can download a file with some parts from bittorrent and some parts from http/ftp.

The current torrent implementation in Flashget is way too simple and limited. I'd suggest utorrent instead.

Why cant I download from Rapidshare?
Everytime i visit a Rapidshare Download i get this error.

"ERROR-ENABLE JAVASCRIPT"

I used to download from rapidshare before i never had any problem.
I reinstalled windows and then started getting this error.
Please help me.

One last thing.
Me not a spammer.
Just a small question for my benefit.

Which is better?

Muy bueno, aunque hasta el día de hoy yo utilizo el IDM y me va bien....

Con ADSL de 1Mb, suelo descargar cualquier cosa a casi 110 o 120 de pico y 80 o 90 el valor más bajo...

De todas formas me lo descargo y lo pruebo, gracias a todos...

I have tried this beta version and it cause some crash so I return to stable version. I recommend we wait to final version to avoid bugs. Current stable version 1.73 is quite well. I love FlashGet.

I haven't had any instability. I actually think this version is a bit quicker than v1.73 was (though I could be imaging that).

In terms of raw features, Getright is WAY above any download manager. Hell, you can't even call it a download manager anymore, because it supports auto-uploading, auto-login, scripting... I also like GetRight because its mirror website, filemirrors.com, is really excellent compared to FlashGet''s ripoff site. Another reason why I (as a webmaster) like GetRight is because it respects a website's bandwidth and doesn't overload webservers.

FlashGet on the other hand has a tendency of overloading webservers and webservers inturn implement things like blocking download managers. It also gives you a wrong impression of downloading faster by splitting into 100s of segments. That actually has a negative effect on many servers- it reduces overall downloading speed because of the overhead involved in so many connections. Although, it is useful when you are downloading from really slow servers like 9down ;)
