GetRight is a Download Manager program to help you download files from the Internet. GetRight works with your web browser to help you download files from the Internet. GetRight improves your file downloading with resuming of broken downloads, easy error recovery, download acceleration, and many other features to give you faster, easier, and more flexible downloads. GetRight can Accelerate (Segment) a download and get different pieces of it from different servers at the same time, which can increase your download speed dramatically. You can use GetRight to schedule your downloads for later; it can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when done. GetRight has several features to get you faster downloads; it can use Mirror searching to find other places where a file may be downloaded--then switch between all the download sites transparently to ensure that you use the best one. Major Changes in GetRight Pro 6.0 :
- Added support for BitTorrent downloads.
- Added Podcast Downloader to automate downloading files in a RSS feed.
- Added ability to pick a playlist (from iTunes or Windows Media Player) so when a download is completed, it's automatically added to the playlist. This is part of the Podcast Downloader too, so it can automatically put files from a podcast source into the playlist you choose.
- Totally redone graphics and logos.
- Added support for FTPS downloads (both explicit ftps:// and implicit on port 990).
- Added support for MD5 and SHA1 checksums to verify files.
- Added a Language configuration item, to make it easy to use translations.
- Added File Compare to the download status history mode, so can compare the size/date for a file you downloaded to the current file on the server.
- Lots and lots of changes, fixes, and improvements.

Changed/Fixed in GetRight Pro 6.0 Final :
- Bought one of the trouble-some routers which helped find and fix some Port Forwarding crashes.
- Fixed click monitoring for Windows Vista Beta #2.
- Changed how the "download as tray icon" tray icon looks when using Windows XP, so will match the XP style much better.
- Added so when Syncing, for some errors it will write a log file in the GetRight folder to help debugging.
- And a few more things too.

i dont use any firewall...bec i hate to give resources...

how do i block www.getright.com and pro.getright.com ???

FDM does not handle files bigger than 2GB!! So, this software is a crap!

How to block these 2 sites? My NIS2006 does not have this option.

Stop saying that IDM or somother download manager is best, the topic name is Getright and if you don't like it then why you click it?
What i want to ask is how to block these 2 sites

is it necessary to avoid online checking of key?
I am using Windows XP SP2 built-in firewall and i think there is no option of blocking the websites in it.

What about Flash get. Is it the best d/l manager? I'm using the 30 Parts hack and it tahes me 2m:30s to d/l get right 6 from the link

so...what so special about get right and other "download managers" i clicked these links that take people like "2-3 minutes" to download mine finishes in 14-15 seconds @ 800KB/sec so maybe you should just get faster internet oh yeah i get these speeds while downloading vista beta @ 350KB steady so meh on getright :P

I have been using GetRight since the last century but I'm looking for alternatives.

Blocking that three domains is enough? After that, I will allow outbound communication, right? But let's suppose they create a subdomain called kissmyass.getright.com or something like that to do the cheking. Bingo, we're caught.

My getright is already saying that registered as gertright standard. But when I try to enter the code for upgrade to Pro it says "Too many codes have been used on this computer" and doesn't let me enter the upgrade code. What to do??
