This extension is good. Google desktop search isn't. It has great idea, great programming, and lots of bugs. I used to use gds, but I had to quit, because it drove my cpu crazy, after 10-15 minutes, cpu usage would be 100%, and ONLY REBOOT helped. Although great at my workplace, at my home computer, gds just don't work as expected. gmail extension is really great although it uses extra icon in tray, and this could be removed in future versions, and it only indexes NEW e-mail, so I cannot search for my old mail. But this is to wait in future versions. Overall, nice extension.
