Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. It has one box for everything: Type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and web pages. Will give you thumbnails of your top sites; Access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab. Google Chrome is an open source web browser developed by Google. Its software architecture was engineered from scratch (using components from other open source software including WebKit and Mozilla Firefox) to cater for the changing needs of users and acknowledging that today most web sites aren't web pages but web applications. Design goals include stability, speed, security and a clean, simple and efficient user interface.

Installed and using now. Pretty decent Browser, even for a Beta! This will give IE 8 a run for the money, considering how crappy Internet Exploder really is. Google's on the right track, but I still prefer Firefox!

Chrome Beta not working on some machines
tried it - during set up as soon as it tried to open chrome it said - The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000005). Click on OK to terminate the applicaiton
I get a mac like folder in the middle of the browser that says - aw, snap something went wrong while displaying this webpage. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling, disabling my antivirus and reinstalling - always comes up with the same error. I understand it is just a beta but since this is the only app I've ever had an install issue with and I have about 50 apps on my computer I think the issue is probably with the beta and not my computer (XP Pro SP3). I'm sure it will work for most people but I thought I'd point out my issue so others with the same error don't assume it is just them.
I posted this on another thread this morning and already three other people are saying they have the same issue.

No drag and drop at all. Without that, this is no big different from IE. We want superb powerful drag and drop, as well as mouse gesture.

Why the hell do people feel the need to post files on rapidshare when the files are readily available free, especially on Google?

For those that are getting "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000005). Click on OK to terminate the application"
The problem lies with Symantec Endpoint Protection. You Need to goto add/remove programs, change, modify, then uninstall "application and device control" from the list. Reboot and google chrome should work.

Read the fine print
"By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or through, the services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the services and may be revoked for certain services as defined in the additional terms of those services."

He's right, Google's license agreement is highly dubious. Read through it, and then ditch this Orwellian bollocks.
