If you're talking about 7.2, a patch was released to fix it.
Anyway, download 7.3 now.
MANY CONGRATS TO HIREN !!!!

To tommo - and other sad cases
Follow these steps: 1. Open your eyes. 2. Activate the grey matter. 3. Take a kodine kick to recover from steps 1 and 2. 4. The rest is now a walk in the park.
NB If you want to be a lame brain all your life - ask others. If you want to learn - ask yourself.
"Anyone know if this one is Bootable ??
All the others i have found wont boot !"
Let me assure you that this1 IS bootable,
just like any previous versions displayed @9down
Pls refer to the Nero Help > Burning the image file Also learn about your MoBo BIOS settings

We shouldn't trust you Micky....

LoL @ Tortus .... this guy must be the most negative fellow that ever walked this planet ! !
I tried all the programs to get these latest iso,s 7.0 - 7.2 - and now 7.3 .. used Winiso , Nero , Ultra iso and Magic iso ..
All the previous Hirens boot disks just went into these programs , and they were bootable ..
Maybe i,m doing something wrong but i cant seem to get any of these versions to boot ... And yes tortus ( hahaha slow at thinking too ) i am quite familiar with boot from CD in the bios !!!!
Now dont be so "NEGATIVE" to other fellow computer mates .

Hey! tommo
You saw the – but unfortunately you missed the + and the current between the two. Sometimes (they say) “we have to be cruel to be kind”.
You are learning though – you have ALMOST answered your own question !!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe i,m doing something wrong but i cant seem to get any of these versions to boot ...
You’ll get there – but you’ll need both + & - Do you get the drift ???
Re: Hirens BootCD v7.3 ISO by tortus on 2005-09-01 18:18:30
OK! – Here is my kind side. Call it what you like + or –
When a person asks a vague question (notice I didn’t say – stupid) and displays a lack of insight by expecting a quick answer, it is obvious that that person is destined for trouble, especially if a quick answer is forthcoming. This will become clear in your journey through time. In effect, there is a long list of possible answers to this type of question that may also require an ordered combination of more than just one, or many. We could attempt to itemize everything for that person, but we (all) may overlook something (usually the obvious) that is applicable to a favourable outcome. We could also strike it lucky, and hit on the answer for that person without that person ever understanding the pro's and con's or flow-on's, and so to, any observers.
For the best advice, paying particular attention to Steps 1 and 2 above, ask your vague questions where nobody else can see how silly they are, e.g., To yourself, Google, Answers.com., etc. It works for silly me!!!!
You may think it’s negative, but the positive thing about learning is that you can only ever add - never complete. This will also become clear in your journey through time and on reflection.
Im going now on Google, Answers.com., etc. to ask myself where am I acctualy in my journey through time. Am I doomed forever or this is just some temp. strike of bad luck?
Nop , Im not on Google, Answers.com., etc. , and it seems that im not to shame to put some vague questions here , so tortus can you answer , where is that mysterious me?

This totus guy is " ONE SICK PUPPY " ROFLMAO .

Did anyone think to ask the Question "Does his CD drive boot CD's @ all?"
Apparently there are different versions of 7.2 & 7.3 floating
around on the net. Whether it is bootable or not depends on your
source. I downloaded several diferent ones before I found one which had
a boot file in it. All that is required is a single bootable floppy
image. This turned out to be a winimage compressed .imz file.
Apparently there is no need for the bcd system at all.
I have comfortably managed to merge this CD into my BCDW + Bart PE
bootable CD after converting the .imz file to a .ima file. The
whole system is compressed with an obscure slow compression system
which gives anywhere from 65 % to 50 % saving. It does not permit
individual extraction / insertion / viewing of any of the files. Except
to make the so called "reverse engineering" difficult I do not see any
reason for this compression at all. Even on a mini-cd you have 200 mb
capacity which should certainly suffice for the fully expanded iso file.
Any way it is a good effort of writing fancy batch files - ala Russian
programmers - and device driver loader / unloader. I find
it has too many similar software. Probably can do with less than
20 instead of the 60 or so on the disk.
Some do not work on devices with more tha 750 mb ram so watch out.

This new version 7.3 from 9 down (as well as from 2 other sources) did
not boot. CD itself actually boot & gave you the choice to boot
hard disc (Windows) or boot CD but if you select boot CD nothing happen alias no boot!
Going through its content, 4 boot files are missing - same as previous
version 7.2.
Anyone that has the bootable version care to share their 4 boot files??????
Please read my above post where I have given the details. If you need
any specific files please contact me directly. I can let you have the
specific required files.
