ICQ Lite (version beta 5) has all the essential features of the full version of ICQ. You can message people, exchange files, send SMS messages, and meet people. It also includes multilingual support, the ability to save your chat histories, and a typing indicator that shows when a contact is typing you a message.

Known Issues for ICQ 5 Beta version
* Connection to the Internet must be maintained throughout the installation process.
* Connection problems can appear when working behind a firewall.
* Web Message options from ICQ community services not functional.
* Operating system problems may occur when sending SMS messages using Windown98 SE Hebrew Edition.
* Skin implementation errors may appear when working with Windows 98 SE and Windows ME.
