What is new in build 6? (Dec/23/2006)

- Resolved several problems with IE7

- The logic of click monitoring for IE-based browsers
(MSN Explorer, Avant, MyIE, some versions of AOL etc.) was
moved from idman process to a separate exe module. This module
can be turned on/off in "Options->General"

What is the best way to use idm with rapidshare cuz everytime i go to rapidshare to download a file, idm pops up and tries to download the file before the countdown, so really its trying to download nothing cuz it thinks its a file or something. How can I stop it from trying to download until after the countdown & when the file is ready?

to avoid idm to take over the download from rapidshare or other sites like rapidshare simply press ALT key and then press download. This is useful when u r downloading using free account type in rapidshare.

Ok here is a empirical answer to the DAP vs IDM vs IDA war...

Me and some friends undertook this "Study" and tested latest versions of these Download managers over a period of 15 days under various conditions, situations and Simulations...

While a completely objective result is impossible due to various pros and cons of each product..

Taking into consideration

1) Download speed
2) Seamless integration (and disintegration)
3) Ease of use
4) Stability
5) and many other factors

our unanimous conclusion is that IDA is the Numero Uno.. Its just the best

and keeping with objectivity and democracy we couldnt reach a conclusion between DAP and IDM and hence declare a tie here... though DAP did have a slight edge..

As I said its our opinion and no single product is a Magic bullet..

So go ahead get IDA 5.2.1.1057 and you wont need a revisit to this post..

HERES A HANDY TIP THAT I FOUND BY ACCIDENT. WHEN I USE IDM WITH MY DIAL-UP (56K) I GET BETWEEN 2.0 AND 5.4K. HOWEVER WHEN I BOOT RE-GET AND THEN CLOSE IT AND RUN IDM AGAIN i NOTICE THAT MY SPEED STAY VIRTIALLY BETWEEN 5.9 AND 6.7 K. I HOPE TAT THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU!!!!
