Hope you are doing fine...
Don't waste your energy with them mate, they'll never understand the importance of sharing. Rather they'll sacrifice anything for rapidshare points.

Note: I'm not against rapidshare - I'm actually a premium user, but I don't upload anything concerning Gag stuff on it because I respect what the man does for us. He does it out of his own goodwill and I think, at least people should understand and pay attention to his words so as we all can benefit from that and do not lose his favour!

ANyway... When people stop acting selfish, well that will be some news then!


Now, about mirroring the file to some non-rapidshare site...

I am sorry mate, but I do not have the Gag patch... Haven't heard anything from user1 or Olexijl either and I am really not sure if Gag has released a patch or the ones posted are fakes... I don't have a clue!

I have contacted Gag though... I'm waiting for his reply to know more about the situation. Should there be anything, I shall keep you advised.

Haven't got any reply yet from Gag yet, but I guess you can download from the link provided by Jfe... Know him from Nsane and Last time Gag sent the link to him, which he mirrored here... Guess he can be trusted...

But 1 thing that i found weird is that only the patch is included... instead of the patch+setup package... Thought that as of last time, the patch was made for specific setup i.e. retail vs normal trial...

gag decided to make the patch for the offical installer (read his info for link) this time.

I just want to tell that i have downloaded the file containing Gags Patch and i tested it. It works great.

Now, Gag (or someone else, who wrote the 1st line of the readme) tells me in the readme to download the trial from internetdownloadmanager.com. Do not do this!!!

The setup is included and the Patch was made for the setup file included in the package!!!!

I removed this erroneous line including wrong information. Use the setup included in the package...

I do not want to publish the link here. Peace_Angel, you'll get the mail from me.

Please note that gag decided to make a patch for the public version of the program this time. Therefore he included a link to the official installer in the info. Using his patch with the retail version might cause problems (most likely).

Man you have to uninstall the program...

Goto program files (e.g. C:\Program files) and delete the Internet Download Manager folder if present (Well that depends where you installed it previously)

Goto C:\Documents and Settings\(your profile)\Application Data\

and delete the IDM folder

Open regedit.exe and goto
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Internet Download Manager

delete it including all the keys...

Make a search in your registry for: Internet Download Manager
and delete anything it found...

(You may reboot at this time)

---Start---
IMportant : DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET!

Now install the program, but do not click on FINISH at the end.

Goto the folder it installed in (E.g C:\Program files\Internet Download Manager). Note this is the default install...

Put the patch in it and run. When done, CONNECT to the internet and click on the finish dialogue...

---End---

The steps between ---Start--- and ---End--- are explained in the Readme...
