I envy those users proclaiming that IDM works 500x faster than any download managers...how do they do it!

I've been using IDM almost a year now but I have not reach a speed more than 100kB/s per download. Well, not literally but very seldom I reach 100. Usually I only get 10-30kb/s in the morning and 40-80kB/s in the evening.

Is this natural or its just me who doesnt know how to make IDM works faster.

I've tried opting 300 under Connection type/speed, and 16 under Default max con number, under Connection Tab of IDM.

.....ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Im using Windows Xp SP2, Opera, Eset Smart Security, Admuncher, SpeedConnect, and my DSL subscribe speed is 384kB/s.

Application is full of call homes, phone homes, server check to manufacture sites. More I don't say. Use Wireshark and look the logs. NOT the downloads you do with it. wireshark.org

Do not download the ProjectX's "Gag patch" its gags but for a different version most probably edited by ProjectX.

I cannot send the patch here to everyone, who give me the email. The result would be, that Gags Patch would have everyone and not the people i trust.

I have not Gags Patch for you, but i have another Patch for you. It is improved by myself (Olexijl) and it will LOOK like Gags one.

However Gags Patch is better made and simply unique. This is why i love Gags Patches...
