K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. It has some glitches. When I installed it, The Core Media Player refused to run correctly.

I uninstalled it and installed again the past version.

I will wait for version 2.68 to come out.
