K-Lite Mega Codec Pack combines the contents of three codec packs: K-Lite Codec Pack Full, QuickTime Alternative, and Real Alternative. It also includes some extra features: BSplayer and ffdshow.

Minor changes
well because they are not the same codec pack for one... the first is just a codec pack... the second is a MEGA codec pack which has MORE options and codecs than just the plain codec pack... thus they are NOT the same packs so should NOT share the same version numbers ;)

I think ti sbecause one is MEGA and the othe roen jsut has the CODES only not the players?
