K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs, DirectShow filters and tools. Codecs and DirectShow filters are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video formats. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular audio and video formats and even some rare formats. The K-Lite Codec Pack always very up-to-date with the newest (and/or best) versions of the components. The installation is fully customizable, meaning that you are able install exactly those components that you really want. Uninstallation removes all files and registry entries created by the pack. It is extremely easy to make a fully customized unattended installation. It tries to avoid potential problems with existing codecs and even fixes some problems. The pack is able to detect broken codecs and filters on your system, and remove them for you. It is a very complete package, containing everything you need to play your movies. Suitable for both novice and expert users.

- Updated ffdshow to revision 969
- Updated Haali Media Splitter to version 1.7.77.5
- Removed localized QT components
- Added Orban AAC parser [version 1.0.27]
- Changed default the renderer used by MPC in Windows Vista from Overlay Mixer to System Default. This should prevent Aero from disabling during video playback.
- Updated GSpot Codec Information Appliance to version 2.70a
- Updated Codec Tweak Tool
- Minor changes

...and for XP too! Well I have Vista 3 months and I had no any problems with these codec pack, and with prior versions too! All rocks like airplane :]

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Codec packs usually bring too many conflicts to count.

I like my media player to be able to play everthing
not need 2000 players to play each diff. file type.

Install fresh windows with mp11 update
real player 10.5
nero7 Ultra
quicktime 7.1.3
power dvd 7.2
Nvidia Pure Video Decoder (Requires Compatable VGA)

then defualt file types in media player 11 options.

This with you're most current Bio's,Video and Sound Drivers
gives the best possible result.

Also using Divx 6.5 Codec only not complete bundle
and Indeo XP Codecs 5.2.
