K-Lite has a much better decoding performance for H.264 and MPEG2/DVD video.

K-Lite supports video encoding, VCP does not.

K-Lite contains a help file. VCP has a limited documentation.

K-Lite has more options to tweak the installation to fit your own specific needs.

K-Lite contains a very good player (optional), VCP has no player.

K-Lite is able to detect broken stuff on your computer and remove or fix them.

K-Lite better preserves your settings during update.

I am a big fan of K lite pack, it provides almost everything. Presently I am testing KM player, that is also good and compact. Can anyone else remark or compare them
