K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and DirectShow filters. Those components are needed for encoding and decoding various audio and video formats. I think with the time people more and more spam with junk them RS links on 9down up cause in them forums/homesites they can not so they use this site to collect the point they need while good links easy going lost here. Just see the "space filler" content inside all small appz/keygens/patches to get the required >1 MB rar, zip file size for rapid$hare and you know with what sort of people you deal here.
