K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. http://www.codecguide.com/ is the official home of the K-Lite Codec Pack, and there's no 4.0 listed there.

But the Author's WebPage have nothing about that :P
