i have used both of KIS and NOD32. both of fine but the GUI of NOD32 really bad. it is a fact that KIS is a very heavy secure system for computers but has the highest scan®onise result. NOD32 needs to improve its GUI to the simple as the GUI is also very important for users i think. i prefer KIS.

i think we must write here our experience about the concerned programs we do not need to argue eachother. somebody can like NOD and somebody KIS it is free tp choice one of them. we are not sales department of these products and just want to get more secured against viruses.

The Kaspersky Laboratory group has made preliminary estimates of its work results for 2006. the total revenues of all companies was $67mln last year (US GAAP). This was the first time the company officially announced its financial results in Russia.
In CIS the company’s turnover (Kasperski Laboratory and Info Watch) was $30mln (Russian Accounting Standards). 90% of the sum came on Russia. During the last two years sales doubled in the CIS countries, the company's sales growth was 45% in 2006. The company say its market share in the Russian anti-virus segment accounted for 40%. Most sales were conducted for individual customers and small businesses (100% annual incomes).
In 2007 the company introduced a new concept of Kaspersky Open Space Security due to new demands in the mobile business. The concept envisages security of the network, as well as any mobile center of any platform. Kaspersky Open Space Security envisages special policy for mobile PCs, which includes rules on the use of the computer outside the office: renewal sources, check-up schedules. It is compossible with the Cisco NAC technology, which guarantees security of the inner network and allows determining the virus state of a newly connected computer.
The concept will be supported by three new products. These are Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0 for Windows Workstations, Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0 for file servers managed by Windows, and Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0, which allows secure a dynamic environment with a tens of thousands of centers, including mobile users. Antivirus programme for smart phones is ready for appearing on the market.
Plans were announced of Kaspersky Laboratory and Info Watch merge due to the single policy on fighting inner and outer risks in one product. Each of them work separately on the two different types of risks.

As for the security link posted by Salmenella, what I find funny is that when you reboot the PC or delete your virtual storage, NO MALWARE remains on your system. Seems like the test guy doesn't even understand HIPS. It is not about prevention, it is about PROTECTION. I can visit any site and let it create havoc on my virtual storage without fear it will ever reach my real files. Everything it attempts to change is only a copied to the virtual directory and changed there. So claiming that an exploit has succeeded, you would have to show that it succeeded in the non-virtual system, not the virtual.
Something else I find really interesting is that every anti-virus developer tests malware behavior on VIRTUAL SYSTEMS. That's right, the guys ripping you off protect their test systems with virtualized solutions to prevent permanent infection.

Kaspersky mybe sux on beta versions, but i know he is the king of the kings, when the version is finished, and after all is the most complete Internet Security Suite, i know because my pc broke because one antivrus called norton, i have more than 7000 viroses, worms, trojans (aka proved by a scan made by a teknician with kaspersky 4) and shit like that because norton 2003 dont detect, what a shit, i know after using Kaspersky Anti-Virus and the new Kaspersky Internet Security i dont have one single virus, trojan ou shit like **[ 9Down.com refused this word ]**ing my pc dont know why do u know ???, i recomend Kaspersky to all my friends and now all fell more safe, surfing in the web and downloading stuff!!! About nod32 i have very friends who say that shity AV dont give any trust, mybe its true, mybe its not, im not going to use anything after kaspersky get protecter anti piracy, i prefer buy an official version than use other shitty program like nod32, norton, pccilin e shitty things like that, mybe you like more PANDA AV. why do you guys **[ 9Down.com refused this word ]** about kaspersky and nod32 i like kaspersky better then nod32 because i had nod 32 for about 2 months then switched to kaspersky and it for 2 trojans and it slow scan speed that for the 1st scan then the 2nd scan goes a lot farster and it being a system hog what kind of pc do you all have i have a AMD 1.3 ghz i can have my av on and play gta sa at the same time without the game slowing down and this my be a stupid idea don’t use the beta softwar use the final

I would want to send you the file but NOD32 did not give me the option to keep the infected file. May be it is not just about detection, may be the combination of scanning & downloading could lead to the missed.
I guess you can get elsewhere for the infection that I just had, name indicated.
By the way, I do not think KIS is suck & shit but it does not suit my taste.

I think this Anti-Malware fellows must be either Kasperky employee or just a stupid fellows of KIS. Who would say that computer never make mistake? It would be stupid of anyone sending him the file, considering his behav, how would you feel with your email address with this junkie. I believe KIS would be able to detect av due to lot of availability of cheap programmers at their base.
