PC Magazine just reviewed the shitty ESS and gave it 3 stars out of 5.
ESS Pros:
Clean, simple user interface. Advanced settings are hidden unless needed. Little impact on performance. Antivirus has won many awards. Antispam doesn?t trash valid bulk e-mail.
ESS Cons:
So-so ability to recognize spyware. Failed to block or remove many spyware samples it detected. Very basic firewall. Too many valid e-mail messages identified as spam.

MachoMan, I notice by your statement that you are new here. People that have been here longer, knows that I am a Kaspersky user. I wouldn't trust any other antivirus program on my computer so long as one of the choices is Kaspersky. However, ESET do make a good antivirus software, (it isn't as good as Kaspersky, but effective), it is a good - second choice. The Russians (Kaspersky) are good in what they do - they have to be because of all of the things they are eager to get into. So tell me, if you were one of them, wouldn't you want to be sure that your computer is well protected before you try to get into someone's stuff - they could have a good virus or trojan to protect their system - just waiting for someone to invade their systems. I know this to be true for some companies (militarly speaking). There is more out there than what the eye can see. Attention Please!!! Again, Kaspersky and ESET, continue to make improvements in their software and that demands respect - or can you do better? If not, would you kindly shut the F**k up.

If you don't understand that which you read, than you are the retard. No where did I say that ESET is as good as Kaspersky, I am a legal register Kaspersky user. If you want to argue about ESET, you need to get to know Pascal, Nod32King and Hw9001, they may disagree with me on which antivirus software is the better one (which I respect), but I think that they would agree, shen I say that you are the retard here. Maybe English isn't your language, that could explain the reason that you fail to understand that which you have read. Advice One, understanding and than commenting.

1- Uninstall KAV/KIS
2- Reinstall KAV/KIS
3- In \\All Users\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7\Bases
Locate: black.lst
Assign: Readonly properties for this file, if you are using NTFS, Mark for deny Write to this file for System user, Administrators...
Re activate with any license you got

- Disable Self-Defence first
- if black.lst not found, try update first
