NOD32 is the KING of KINGS
_____________________________________________________________________________

Go to that neowin website in uagadugu post and read the pages 5-6-7-8-9 or you can just read pages

8-9 you will see that after people tried krapsky they relized that NOD32 was better and they went back to

NOD32.

Here is a direct link to the start of those pages!

start of page 5 - http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=486342&st=60
start of page 8 - http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=486342&st=105
_____________________________________________________________________________

Look at the FACTS. NOD32 is at version 2... krapsky is at version 6
(and will be at version 7 by the 10th of september)
krapsky has betas every single day, and NOD32 is moving slowly and NOD32 is still better then krapsky!

You kids need to grow up. Let everyone use whatever AV they want.
Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by Drooper on 2006-08-30 10:00:08
Apart from maybe one or two posts , i haven't learned anything here today.
After taking all the time to read every post , i'm left pished off and dissapointed.
This sites going to the dogs , what with the RapidShare gays , and the 3rd year school-kids taking over ,
and turning it into an extension of their playground - things are looking pretty bleak.
You'll lose out in the end kids , cos the older ones'll just go quiet on ya , we don't need your selfishness , and we don't need to read your point-scoring inadequate embarrasing namecalling.
If you wanna put a product down , tell us why , in a brief succinct way.
If you wanna BIG-UP a product you like , great , tell us why , in a brief succinct way.
Try and hear what i'm saying , though i have a feeling it might be just too fookin late ...

is there a Kaspersky version for vista???

Kaspersky rules
RE : by salmonela on 2006-08-31 08:32:01

No.

Current version doesnt work properly on Vista (network related components: web protection , antispam , firewall etc. doesnt work)

But it is planned to work with.

P.S.      Keep watching for future changelogs.

P.S.1.   I´ve heard that some old Kaspy betas worked with some betas of Vista but not on current.

drooper, runningfool87, someguy - I completely agree! uagadugu - go play on the swings or something and make some friends, you obviously lack any social skills and hide in your bedroom all day and post rubbish.
Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by pollock_jojo on 2006-08-30 17:51:34
No King really.
Every Antivirus can know some virus don't same.

Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by someguy on 2006-08-30 20:16:05
@btman
"NOD32 version 3 looks like Kaspersky 6"
alot of AV products have user interfaces like that, its not just krapsky
RE : by testbetasoft on 2006-08-30 21:14:07
not alot AV products lookS like Kaspersky , just one and its called AOL Anti Virus Shield , wich is the free version of Kaspersky (by Kaspersky) AOL replaces theyr previous  Mcafee Antivirus protection with this one , WHICH IS BY THE WAY CALLED THE BEST FREE ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM OF 2006!!!
Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by neovee on 2006-08-30 20:22:13
I don't care but Bit Defender 9 is the best or maybe 10 beta, then come Kaspersky then NOD32 but for sure the most sucks is Norton

Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by LeoJoe5 on 2006-08-30 21:06:58
Who's the king? bla bla bla
Every antivirus have flaws, and Kaspersky is a good candidate to be the king of flaws, also Panda, Norton, etc
Even so, they all are very good antivirus!!
It's like Microsoft, everybody says that M$ is crap, but i used too many linuxs that sucks too.
There are perfect antivirus, .... in the movies and dreams...
Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by runningfool87 on 2006-08-30 23:08:55
"Kaspersky is the best. Nuff said.

You people who say Kaspersky Is a System Hog. Go take your 56k connection, 64 mb of ram hard drive and shove it up your ass.

And then you'll STILL come here saying u have an "awesome" computer but some how kaspersky slows it down.

Thats BS cuz im running it on 512 mbs of ram and telus high speed internet (the 30$ a month one) and my computer has never ran faster. I tried NOD32 also... really... really... didn't like it and will never leave Kaspersky again."

...im running a gig of RAM, and my college for some reason spent the $$$ to wire the campus with optical internet (in case anyone isnt aware, an OC connection makes DSL/Cable internet look like dialup). ive never used kaspersky and i never will. maybe thats because im a bit of a minimalist when it comes to RAM usage, but i honestly feel that NOD32 is better. dont believe me? fine. spend a few hours online downloading a few of the newest viruses and worms out there...watch kaspersky choke. while it might be true that KAV has better overall definitions, trying to use its heuristics to keep out newer viruses would be about as effective as trying to keep dust out with chicken wire. NOD32 can always add virus definitions. fixing KAV's notoriously bad heuristics engine would take a lot of work...probably a few hundred betas (2 weeks for Kaspersky)

"NOD32 version 3 looks like Kaspersky 6"

...looks can be deceiving. GUI has nothing to do with how an AV performs.

"not alot AV products lookS like Kaspersky , just one and its called AOL Anti Virus Shield , wich is the free version of Kaspersky (by Kaspersky) AOL replaces theyr previous Mcafee Antivirus protection with this one , WHICH IS BY THE WAY CALLED THE BEST FREE ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM OF 2006!!!"

...AOL is the biggest RAM hog on the planet, meant for idiots who dont know anything about computers. the guy who posted this probably uses outlook express for email. KAV and AOL together? hahaha. opening notepad would probably make windows crash after that. ill stick with firefox, hushmail, and NOD32...i dont know about the rest of you but i actually like having a computer that i can use, not one running at 56% CPU usage when its idling. whats next, Kaspersky bundled with kazaa? and as for best free AV of 2006, congratulations. Kaspersky beat Avast and AVG. im sure that was really hard to do.

...and uagadugu, do us all a favor and go get laid.
RE : by testbetasoft on 2006-08-31 18:10:29

runningfool87  : First  its so obvious that you are just an idiot and about the AOL antivirus Shield that i am shure you didnt know before i posted it and you have never even tested it,  just to tell you that you can use it on windows XP without AOL (you MORON) !

Second dont tell us (in the Kaspersky post go to your Eset posts) about your system being slowed down ("some how kaspersky slows it down.") its because you are newbie with computer that knows nothing about programming or even tweaking systems!

Third dont tell me about testing afew viruses from the net , because if readed my previous posts when i posted my test result winners and failures with about 6000 viruses in archives with differend structures thats what disapointed me with NOD32.

Re: Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Internet Security 6.0.1.377 Beta by runningfool87 on 2006-08-30 23:23:40
from kaspersky's home office:
head programmer: s-h-i-t!!! one of our users just reported that a virus got through on their computer! kaspersky didnt catch it in the scan!
programmer: oh god, what do we do?
head programmer: ill tell you what we'll do. double, no, TRIPLE the size of the definitions file. and i want at least 5 new beta builds by tomorrow morning. next, i want the scanning engine COMPLETELY rebuilt from the ground up. it needs to be ten times more effective than the protection our users have now.
programmer: isn't that a little excessive? i mean, wont that eat up even more RAM than kaspersky already uses?
head programmer: ...............................H-E-L-L YES!

meanwhile, at the ESET head office:
head programmer: have he new definitions been sent to our servers?
programmer: yeah, like 3 hours ago.
head programmer: anyone reporting viruses or anything that NOD32 isnt catching?
programmer: ...no
head programmer: alright. its almost noon. lets call it a day.
