KIS 6 is supposed to be an improvement over the previous version. It even gives the other security suites a run for their money. BUT WAIT! With all these frequest and regular beta releases, something is wrong with this software. You are unwittingly being made testbeds of these people. Therefore, stay away from this one. BitDefender 10 and McAfee 2007 are supposed to be much better now. Has any one tried NAV 2007 or NIS 2007?

Nothing but problems from these people. Avoid at all cost.

The last final release of this program I found was .303. They go all the way to .388 in beta? And since .303 a beta has come out reularly. So the final .303 was no good and they went straight back to beta.

Kaspersky is a heavy load on the ram and CPU. Your better off with NOD32 or outpost. Kaspersky hasent performed well since version 5.

BTW Moron I just scanned all three of my HDs with NOD32, the latest hourly updates and everything on, it scanned 633GB in 21 min 32 sec. Kaspersky cant finish one folder that qoick, much less accuratly.

These two AVs have completely different approach to same problem , both are on pinnacle.

What they are doing is releseing regular updates that make the current product better by the hour. Tell me when's the last time you saw a NOD32 beta??

How are they ignoring their users? Updates are released virtualy hourly. And the latest final version is 2.51.30 final, not beta. NOD isn't releseing version 3 beta to test on the public. They will release it when it works.

You cant remember becuse they weren't betas, they were legitimate releases. and once again the current final is 2.51.30 and has been for awhile. the current file signature is 1754. There are over 100,000 signatures in the data base.

when i uninstalled ie7 it detected a torjan and quartrined it with kaspersky. on restarting my windows got corrupt and i have to install a fresh copy.

hi all.I have used both nod32 and kis.
noddy is definetly quick and light,but it leaves some viruses specially trojans etc.if u r using nod32 without firewall
just have an online scan of kaspersky.one point to nod-it tells about ur courrepted file,crc or damaged archives.
kaspersky hav highest malware detection rate,thats why it is slow.
finally,KIS,gives you full control to your computer like registry guard,nod32 is dumb w.r.t. these internet features.

If KIS is releasing versions for beta tsting than soon it would evolve with more features.......or if u fear of testing betas ,stick to kis 6.0.0.303 final.

You must have a key to use beta version! In other words, u must pay to put this beta crap in your PC! Why they dont put it free like many other software developers!!? Can't you have both KIS and KAV installed at the same time? I tried with KIS but it told me to uninstall when I tried to install KAV and vice versa. Any help would be appreciated.

KIS is Kaspersky Internet Security. It has all the Kaspersky products in there. e.g Kaspersky anti-virus, Kaspersy Firewall

KAV is Kaspersky anti-virus. It is a program included in KIS.

if you just want the Kaspersky Anti-Virus then just install KAV. If you want all the Kaspersky products just install KIS. You can only have one of these installed at a time, since they have the same product.
