How many RC's have been out there? Kaspersky is really good at buiding betas and RCs, take forever for them to come out the final. PS it's freaking annoy that you have to uninstall kaspersky in order to upgrade to a newer version

Kaspersky uses to many recources and has long scan times even on small volumes.
NOD32 as many more options and better detection combined with a far faster scanning engine
Kaspersky has a long way to go to get anywhere near what NOD32 already has.
stop making decisions for others and just write facts.. fact is nod's realtime scanner takes 7mb of ram while kaspersky only uses 3-4mb (well on my machine tho) before u complain i got screens to prove it

rena then you are totaly computer stupid. I've used NOD32 for quiet awhile and when configures properly it protects you from everything including syware, trojans and anything else you can think of. Kaspersky can't. Never a real AV just beta want to be. Crappy scan engine and NOD32 detets more in the wild viruses then Kaspersky ever will. Use it if you want. this crp will never make any of my machines and i got 25 of em.

Hey dumbass ugabooboo, why bother posting your stupid crap. Kaspersky sucks, it has since they moved to version 6. It's not near as configurable as NOD32. It scans as slow as your brain functions. The survey he post of course is a fake. If he did stumble bumb accross it on the internet kaspersky simply paid for them to post false results. If they were so great then kaspersky would be the antivirus that Microsoft would have been using for the last 6 years instead of NOD32. But NOD32 is what they use and Microsoft has a lot more to protect then any of us.
So forgive little uga, he is after all just a child.

PD1447, you and uagadugu both need to just grow up already. Quit trying to force your opinions on everyone else. Let people choose what they want to use. ANY AV is better than none at all. And for the record, After using NOD32 and AVG Free for a while, I recently tried the latest Kaspersky and I'm liking it. Uses less system resources than NOD32 or AVG. Scans CAN take a long time if you have a lot of compressed files like .rar and even .iso lying around on your drive. Kaspersky seems to be more thorough in its scan than other AV's which is good and bad depending on how you look at it. Otherwise, it actually scans MUCH faster than it used to.

Dorand My beef is with uga, he's pasting his crap throughout every tread in 9down. I trash kaspersky becuse it drives the kid nuts and eventually away. This is for everyones benifit(yours too). Jerks like hime make 9down a laughing stock. However kaspersky is the proven recource hog, with NOD32 using virtually no CPU cycles and only 2 megs of ram plus being the official AV at Microsoft, it has proved superior in everyway. And to answer your question in advance yes I have recently tried kaspersky, version 6.0.1.303 a final release, I don't install beta software on a $6000.00 rig and I had to remove it after 2 weeks of testing. It fail virtually every tourture test I threw at it and was a horrific system hog. NOD32 2.51.30 blows kaspersky version 6 out a the water(no survivors). Plus their firewall is a leaky dike with no real fix in sight. So i stick with what REALLY WORKS and kaspersky aint it. I did like it GUI but its not ready for the public, there is no real protection. Malicious programs get by kaspersky almost 100% of the time masqurading as legitimite software, which can result in what little protection kaspersky did provide being disabled, giving hackers free reign over a system.Ugabobo is far to SIMPLE MINDED to understand these concepts. He thinks kaspersky is the be all end all of IS suites. Unfortunatly some people will belive him, use kaspersky, realize its draging their system down, disable vital features to regain their speed and end up hijacked or worse. I have been evaluating firewalls and antivirus software for 10 years. I got the experience to know what works and what dosen't, kaspersky doesn't. I am getting ready to re-evaluate Outpost, it looks promising. But right now if your not using NOD32 with Tiny Personal firewall, Spybot, Xoftspy, CCleaner, NoAdware and Ewido you aint properly protected boy. SO don't worry about it since you like kaspersky so much, your probably using a 6 year old rig running Win9x, thats so slow to begin with you can't tell how much kaspersky really is draging you down. Uga post fake stats and suddenly everyone thinks kaspersky works. SURPRISE!! It don't.

If you think Kaspersky slows your system, maybe YOU'RE the one with the slow rig. I notice no difference. Kaspersky is only using 11MB ram with 2 processes.

Now that I think of it you guys are stuck with Kaspersky. Little uga ran to rapid and mega and squealed like pigs until they deleted the links. To bad for everyone when people do that. Well hopefuly they wount get anything that anyone else wants removed. Of course I' m not effected by anything little co co uga does, my recources are far larger then the likes of him could hope to touch. Well as soon as ha's permanently banned prehaps no more files will be lost.
By the way installing any beta product on a machine that is not expressly for beta testing is blatently STUPID!
The only real way to properly remove it in order to either upgrade or replace it is to completly reformat. Believe it.

There is no a best antivirus or any other security products ther is a good way of staying cleanlike dont coming on this site coz 9down is a spy site
and kaspersky is in the 2 place the best is bitdefender
Yes NOD32 must be properly configured to work as well as it does.
