Well I was willing to give kaspersky another shot....and did.
This version is incompatible with VIsta, making it useless. I wouls love to give it a try and see if they fixed all the slow performance issues but alas that is not possible.
The lack of 3rd party AV and FW is making the possibility os kaspersky becoming the suite of choice will depend entierly on Vista compatibility as well as a low system impact. Not everyone has computers such as this and will have no choice but to stay with XP. But for those of us with rigs capeable of running Vista need protection now.
Personaly I dont care if it comes from Kaspersky or NOD32 as long as it Works.
Kaspersky does work, but has always been slow to scan and impacted the system performance even while running in the background. Hopefully the people at kaspersky are addressing that problem and will have it solved in the next final version. Its odd that they would release supposed vista compatible version betas and make this one without the ability to operate under Vista.

The GUI of kaspersky is WOW!! Wonderful!! That's why all the jackasses here use this piece of shit! You all make me laugh here!
"Some" of the bugs found here: - Strange logic when working together with WSC ("Spyware and other malware protection") - Crash of avp.exe under XP - Updater: ~90% CPU load, during the updating process
