avira premium security suite is good but not as good as kaspersky.
KIS does more than avira in terms of real-time protection and has anti-hack system in place.
kaspersky is more thorough but slower when carrying out a virus scan
oveall kaspersky is king.

FOLKS! try the new version of ZoneAlarm Security Suite. It uses Kaspersky database and av engine, plus it is the best firewall on the world.
You wont have to worry about keys, just search in 9down the new ZA version 7.

KIS is a better solution to Zone Suite. Keep in mind that Zone uses the 5.0 engine from KAS.

NOD32 is THE best. Final. USe Nod+comodo/jetico is the best protection u can get.

USE KIS WITHOUT KEYS 1- go To ( Start ) then ( Run )
2- Type ( regedit ) and press ( OK )
3- Go To ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\Data ) & Right Click On ( Data ) & Choose ( Permissions )
4- Choose ( Advanced ) From The ( Permissions For Data ) New Window Opened
5- In ( Advanced Security Settings for Data ) Window .. There is a sentnce which begin with ( Inherit from parent ... ) click on the nike or check mark to remove it
6- After Removing the check or nike mark you will get a new message .. choose from it ( Remove )
7- Then in ( Advanced Security Settings for Data ) click on ( Apply )
8- After Clicking Apply you will get a new message choose ( Yes )
9- After That Press ( OK ) In ( Advanced Security Settings for Data )
10- After That .. Press ( OK ) In ( Permissions For Data )
11- After That Make An ( Exit ) For ( KasperSky ) .. & Run It Again
12- You Will Notice That The Kaspersky Icon Is Not ( RED ) But Its ( GRAY ) Which means that the program is not activated
13- But if you opened it you will see al things are working perfect 100% Working
What Happened To The Program After These Steps ?
- You Will update the kaspersky database manually ... no automatic updates
- thw windows security center will tell you that the firewall or\and antivirus is not working ... bec you made the kasper seemed unactiviated

Kaspersky slows every computer it infects. Expecialy at bootup.
Be smart and avoid at all cost.
I have personaly tested this release and found a weak firewall and even weaker AV.

hi all i'm using this antivirus (6.0.2.614) for the first time. i found it extremely useful. i downloaded the working keys to 2010 frm the link from same this thread. it was .RAR file named ksp2k10.when i opened this file there were many keys present there & i checked almost all of them with viewer. finally i hav chosen the key valid upto Apr 07.
when i tried to activate antivirus (by clicking on brouse button) with this key den immediately after dat the massage displayed as "Your Lisence key is Black listed.Updates r disabled"

You can change your key, cause you have many keys in your winrar archive downloaded. But, before add new key you much remove old key from kaspersky (I think you added a activate and backup keys). It's simply, please open Kaspersky by click it on tray, when you see KAV interface please click on service. In right corner you will see the License info. Click on License Info --->appear a new window that have the key you are using. Please delete it and re-activate with other key (that not in blacklist).

Please could someone help me PLZZZZZZZZ......I want to install Kav to my computer, i had McAfee earlier, so i uninstalled it using the uninstaller provided from McAfee's website.
Now every time i try to install KAV, just after i click on COMPLETE where it gives the options to install COMPLETE OR CUSTOM, i get the following window with the msg:
Incompatible software," McAfee VirusScan Professional bonus pack" so i click on Remove, it takes me to another window where it says to remove this software and it opens the ADD/Remove window.
The problem is that incompatable software from McAfee, does not show on the add/remove window, also i already ran the uninstaller provided from McAfee.
I don't know what to do, please please help, i heard alot about this great AntiVirus, and i would like to have it in my computer.
