Here we go again with another crappy beta of Kaspercrap , slows down your comp like no other av
tghe scan of disks last forever ,i tried it before i had a 120 gigs disk , i started the scan at 10 pm and went to bed , when i got up at 11 am there was only 22 % of the scan done, lol, and at 9 pm 27 %, it's unacceptable for a so called good av

LOL, it has nothing to do with how big the hard drive is you ***ing moron, it has to do with file contence and how many files you have. Last I checked kaspersky scaned RAR files and NOD32 didnt.
Kaspersky is a very unique antivirus, it can be customize in various ways! i think you have to learn it. Being a babby u r not abe to do this, i guess, coz kaspersky is the best of the best in his business!

How To Acctivate It
1- go To ( Start ) then ( Run )
2- Type ( regedit ) and press ( OK )
3- Go To ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\Data ) & Right Click On ( Data ) & Choose ( Permissions )
4- Choose ( Advanced ) From The ( Permissions For Data ) New Window Opened
5- In ( Advanced Security Settings for Data ) Window .. There is a sentnce which begin with ( Inherit from parent ... ) click on the nike or check mark to remove it
6- After Removing the check or nike mark you will get a new message .. choose from it ( Remove )
7- Then in ( Advanced Security Settings for Data ) click on ( Apply )
8- After Clicking Apply you will get a new message choose ( Yes )
9- After That Press ( OK ) In ( Advanced Security Settings for Data )
10- After That .. Press ( OK ) In ( Permissions For Data )
11- After That Make An ( Exit ) For ( KasperSky ) .. & Run It Again
12- You Will Notice That The Kaspersky Icon Is Not ( RED ) But Its ( GRAY ) Which means that the program is not activated
13- But if you opened it you will see al things are working perfect 100% Working
What Happened To The Program After These Steps ?
- You Will update the kaspersky database manually ... no automatic updates
- thw windows security center will tell you that the firewall or\and antivirus is not working ... bcoz you made the kasper seemed unactiviated

vegetunks NOD32 does scan compresed archives. RAR, ZIP, ACE the list goes till you run out of compression utilities. And this site is 100% warez what the hell you talking about. And you guys need to give up chaseing keys, they shoot em down fast as you pick em up. Besides who wants this crap anway, boromeo is right, this AV takes way to long to achive way to little. Between the false positves and missed trojans this cant protect anybody. And if boro has enough content on a 120GB HD to warrent a 14 or 15 hour or more scan what ar epeople like me supposed to do. If you'll open your EYES you'll notice 9down now removes posts with warez,pictures, or sometimes just mirror links. Also type slower, you'll make less mistakes. I been using the same Kaspersky key for about 3 months (3 yr key), no im using the 6.0 version, not beta, NOD32 is a good AV, but do not try to deny that Kaspersky is not a good AV. Why must you try to worry users into using what you want them to use?

and thank pd1447 for tellin the truth , it's a fact that Kaspercrap takes forever to do a scan and it's not acceptable from a so called good av,I thiought that a scan with avast was way too long , it's nothing compared to Kaspercrap

hi for all the people who say kaspersky slows down your pc tell me what kind of pc you have. i don't use beta i use the final and i can play grand theft auto san andras and leave kaspersky on and my game doesn't slow down at all and i only have a 1.3 ghz AMD cpu instead of saying kaspersky is crap use the final version and buy a pc from the year 2000 and up instead of a pc from the year 1980
Well said oleg and Dominator_Physco. On my P4 3GHz with 1 GB ram a scan takes about 6 hours for 160 GB, but i am playing WoW while it scans. I an still using 6, but normally it needs about 3 hours for me. Is this Beta faster? I mean if it is much better i install it. If not, I won't as deinstalling and installing my Firewall because of Kaspersky detecting it is going on my nerves as my FW hasn't got an import and export function.

i use KIS6 and KIS7. i love it but regret to tell that Kaspersky really slow down pc's. NOD is faster and lighter. however i like to use kaspersky.
P.S my computer is P4 3.06 with 1 GB DDRII ram and kaspersky is slowing down. i tried NOD and my computer was opening faster.

I have been working with computers for a very long time as matter of fact with the Army. We had the first PCs, there were no personal computer. I would perfer to use Kaspersky any day, I agree Kaspersky takes some time to do a scan. I have over 2200 Gbs, I would rather have it nice and slow and be satisfied, than fast and hard, when you are rushing, you are sure to miss something. So let it be nice and slow, so that it can fu?k the viruses and not to fast, because then you are screwed. This is for you young Bucks out there - There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between getting FU?KED and being SCREWED. Quality not Quanity is the issue here. I perfer Quality over Quanity. I don't spend my time arguing over anivirus software. I know what is best and I use it. Boromeo, it's just like screwing, if a whore is your first piece, you will swear that it is the best. I have used different anti-virus software and i've not seen anything like it. it is simply one of the best. in my community, a typical worm has infected every other computer, the worm is distrubuted by usb keys unknown to owners but my KIS detects all of them. they complain "but i have the latest antivirus" i could only recommend KIS. i feel like a king. kaspersky is vigorous. dont you just like the sound of KIS catching viruses. kaspersky is king. confirmed by me

kasperking doesnt slowdown my pc. it almost invinsible. playd videos, used IE7, Opera + Mozilla+ Google EARTH and no problems with me.
it also scans the entire system thoroughly The truth is kaspersky is simply great. Altough i've not used nod32 i'll rather stick with 1 software that gets 99% of viruses. From c|net's reviews nod32 is not in top 10. kaspersky is anti-nod32.

Second... NOD32 is faster because most of its scanning engine is programmed in maschine code. If you don't know this I suggest you google for ASM and learn what it is. KAV/KIS/Grand'pa or whateva you want to call it is not programmed this way so it's expected to be slower. This does not help us nor does it tell us that it's better! There are more and more new threats outhere easch day... and the way they develop is amazing! Even commercial companies like Sony fuc|ked up with rootkit! With more and more ways of getting infected, the AV industry has to come up with more and more scanning techniques and this can slow the process of scanning!

and btw, PC is the term used to describe a computer usin an x86 compatible processor, (ie, non macs) so every computer that runs linux, windows, dos, etc is a PC whether it be used for work or not.

LOL, computer expert my ass. Your a fool. You realize every AV scans things differently and counts files differently. A .Rar file with 12 files in it... One AV may scan it and count it as 1 file, others may count it as 12. Plus you have your nod32 set to blackspear the highest/best settings, I highly doubt you have Kaspersky on its best settings. Plus... Do I really need to explain to you iSwift and iChecker again? You are a computer noob. PD has more knowledge then you, he's never said anything about scanned files as foolishly as you have. Blackspear settings are ment to increase the number of scanning techniques used, so it can't possibly be faster then without those settings! => YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT IT!
We tested it the normal way: install the damn AVs one at a time and scan the whole HDD! NOD32 finished in an acceptable time... Krapspersky, didn't!

The number of prople here suck as blackforce and anti malware make me realise just how much our education system has really suffered from such things as budget cuts.
