or W32.Sality.z as called by ESET, then it infected all exex files, including the EKERN.exe that was running in back ground. U must be knowing what EKERN.exe is...



So When U scanned Comp for removal, then again after disinfecting, all exe were infected.

This was not the case with KIS, AVP.exe which cant be modified for any reasons.

and it was one of the 2 Only AVS, to remove Sality.z Completely.. even after runtime.

ESET does not have, till date, the removal feature when ur explorer and winlogon.exe are infected by PE viruses.
