I prefer using Zone Alarm Security Suite that comes with a comprehensive Fire Wall AND a spam filter and spy-ware remover and a total antivirus solution and e-mail / download monitor.
Todate, each and every download is checked including the zip files and the infection is either repaired or manually deleted. In any case, the virus / trojan never goes unnoticed!
