If they aint fixed the major critial bug with CHKDSK (filesystem) getting bronke running scanner, I would skip this, cause my current install is messed up due to last Final build.
Read their forums if you want to know what Im on about, its only been fooked since Oct 2005.

Yes the pages are in our project groupe. Many are only on freehosts for demo. Some on Local hosts of our IPs in Asia on Eastgate MY.

RE-CON I use ZoneAlarm Pro and am lucky enough to stay clean. I have a friend loves his AVG , that keeps him clean. Whatever you choose , just be happy and don't feel you're making wrong choices. As far as catching viruses out in the wild is concerned , alll the top ones do the job don't they? Like fuq they do - they're all crap , but maybe you're best having one AV as opposed to none. Always scanning dubious downloaded files and surfing safely is the best way to go , obviously. Bad experiences have taught me lessons with Limewire too , and i've got used to the 'bogus' files on there , and can tell which ones NOT to click on. Kaspersky Internet Security , finally gone final - i bet it's good , if i was looking for a security suite i would give this a go.

Please people if rapidshare work by you, the proxys will be much slower as the direct conection to rapid. Let the proxies for thouse who cant download at all by rapidshare. Then we are all happy about the filehost even if its only 6kb on a 16 mb/s pipe. Might be rapid log ips cause the counters normal collect more info as only how many downloads are per uploaded files but the true about all them we never will found out.
BTW on thate site you dont have new version of Outpost beta if you are admin there , "Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro v4.0.916.6727(570) Beta".

Exchanging experience from different AVs is importand. I my tests with AV Programs are long ago. I did try Kaspersky in year 2000, it was in the most PC Magazines at this time the same result that Kaspersky was a quite fast AV scanner but many error alerts and alerts when no viruses there. Symantec AV was a couple of years in Test reports the best. Nortons and McAfee was known as a so called Memory heavy load, what slows the system down.
I use Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition since 1999. 2 SVR + Clients (Not to for change with Nortons AV) Outpost is very good firewall but I have some problems on Server with the workstations to access ftp and other needed ports. Config done right but alert by ftp activities such as upload from workstations was not to fix. Symantec Corporate Securety suite seems to block everythink to much. Simular as Nortens Firewall it change UA strings etc. as Webmaster impossible to use it. If you beta tester of a Webbrowser dev. the same will be appear. Black Ice Devender after latest retail from fossi does by updatings etc. Registration problems by me. Sorry for English i try to explain my expiriences with AV + Firewall

@ humeyboy Thanks i read them forum. It will give a unbelievable problem when on server the harddsik need to format. I seen simular kinds of programs whitch does almost $130 broken on harddisk. A low level format will be the only way to repair if not Garantee needs to be used. Got this problem with Hirens boot disk tools temporary fixed but the filesystem still have errors. As we all know scandisk etc. only repair error sectors virtual in this that it mark the sectors to not more to use them. Only low level format will these entries possible correct. So i will let Symantec Corporate Edition on my system. Till now it was catch all viruses. Between a online scan by different sites can never be wrong in extention.

Drooper, you think I dont know that, I dont want to have to format to fix issue it should simply go away when Kaspersky is uninstalled but as its a fooker of a bug it needs full format so this is not acceptable for a final app to fook windows so much, esp since bug has been known since Oct 2005.

The blackice pc/server is on all Chinese pages hostet in full but the Jetico Firewall i never heared about it. Have you a small description or homepage of the product to pick up infos.

The download is not importand the info to read about cause this programs are non stop updatet as soon a new version released on Guardong hosts and co. and all others with maybe 5 or more ddl mirrors cant beat them. Needs only to know how to navigate Chinese, Korean and Japan Websites.
Only Jetico is not to found. All others I think the 1st source is here for the news in english language.

Thanks a lot I will install the firewall 2morrow and see if the problem is the same with the latest version. Its as soon loopback from webserver ip in the moment when somoen on a workstation upload recognize as intruder and block.
There is attack detection plug-in (in Outpost) , put workstations IP ´s in exclusion list and vice-versa , if that doesent help (which I doubt) , shut down attack detection plug-in.

Thanks I think it is what I done wrong. Im going to install it again. Have a lot of thanks for your help. I didnt done any changes by attack detection plugin. There was no way to see to set permanent the wrong attack detection from own webservers ip's off in all possible config dialogues.

No problem I like Betas im not afraid from Alpha as long I have enough time to found the bugs. By the way 0104 Minefield Nighly after long time leakes again. New is a leak funktion witch popup when a delay is detectet by a script/plugin/addon execution. it ask the user to stop the script or let it running. Seems they work now finaly on it. Plan is Firefox 2.0 (BonEcho) Release in 3th qua. this year. Firefox 3.0 (Minefield) in 1 quatal next year.

I think for here on this location The Beta is ok, its easy to uninstall if it have bugs what we can not fix. On other places the system is different constructet. Most functions such as addfilter is no use of it here cause ads already filtered before. Thats why I dont like combination products such as securety suites with firewall + Antivirus + xyz cause I mean all from one is not always the best. To make a own joice will use firewall from xyx + av from xzy etc... same as by building computers. Harddisk will be a different brand as cd drive. Never i will buy a complete system from xyl brand. Have seen Kingston Ram original and as so called fakes. some fakes using the same chips and will say in true there will be no need to fake it if the product is good and the People understand to lable a own name on it when the marketting will work but if they dont know how to make advertisment and tests to support the press with samples and get testet Its maybe easier to jump under the allready existend advertisment of brandname from company lvx. Wee seen on Asus as original and the same as noname. chips are the same just the price have the difference cause the Name needs to be payed include the Advertisment of it.
Yes you are right about all in one prod. but i like plug ins of this one it is very simple to stop them or even remove them; Options → Plug ins setup... → Adds → Stop or remove , You can if you wish remove or stop all plugins and have "naked" firewall.

humeyboy , If you've got a corrupt chkdsk , wouldn't a repair install fix it , or a copy of the said file? Along with fix /mbr wouldn't that replace any files and records , after uninstalling the program and fix what you claim Kaspersky has damaged , without the need to do a full format as you baloniously said? I read the forum and yes , they do admit chkdsk hangs for a few seconds , but with regards to your other claims , you seem to be on your own. I did thank you for your first post , and thanks again , i have learned something today.

Dropper, KIS 2006 last build fooks windows file system END of story, its a known fact, now I dont know if its possible to fix the file system and keep all data without formating all I DO know is Im not using this Crap till is fixed and I dont want some nice peeps here on a brand new install of XP messing it up within 5mins of installing NIS or NAV

Its not easy to repair filesystem. i got this situuation a few times when bootsector is lost can be fix but when even the harddsik test tool in dos mode from the harddisk manufactor report that the harddisk have error and need to send to service with all details in facts. How ever I got it Hirensboot cd was test all possible tootl from it on the way cause the whole harddisk was not more boot no F8 or anythink more no tool on it command promt to execute is the shock high. I will not want to test things who produce this again when the bug already is published on the program software homepage support site. At the end there is only lowlevel format to try to activate the harddisk again. Just to bad that the bios manufactors have disabled the old good dialog low level format but modbin or the phoenix bios editor by ami another name to edit the bios and enable the hidden dialog Low level format can never be wrong. Save the time to put the tool on disk. By the way can found many more disabled dialogs in the bios when someone is already on the way to want update the bios its not wrong to edit it with modbin and co or take a look in it.
