Kaspersky Internet Security have a lot of beta . I used KIS 6.0.2.620-621 about 1 month now KIS 7.0.0.20 Beta appear. However I still used Kaspersky Internet Security.

I tried putting it on a clean system , it only had XP on it , no drivers or anything else ...... with exactly the same results . So i`ve gone back to 6.0.2.671.

In the qarkperksky forum they say that this is an unstable pre beta version , with the old GUI , and that there should be a new version in about 2 weeks .

Some people will have great sucsess with kaspersky, others will crash and burn. As far as anti mallwares challenge to get a viri sample via email, that is a exercise in futility. He cant do anything with them, he can barley find his way to this site. Send him a virus and he's going to infect himself is what will happen an then the moron will probaply infect someone else with it.

I don't think, including myself, that anyone here is a software expert on internet security suite software. I chose BitDefender Internet Security Suite v10 for a variety of reasons. Before I made my decision, I did some research on Internet Security Suite software on the web. One of my favorite websites that does intensive indepth analysis is toptenreviews. Go to that website, click Software tab, scroll down just a bit and look for Security & Privacy link on the right side of the page. Lastly, click on Internet Security Suites and then read (do your homework). After you're done, bookmark that website for future use and decision-making. This website is loaded with info on just about everything.
BTW, BitDefender is listed as #1 Internet Security Suite. I personally love the GUI and the ease of use. Kaspersky Internet Security was listed #10..Read up and find out why...
Bitdefender suites is the best . it is super fast as the top ten reviews .
But from my opinion . it better combine with zone alarm pro ( use only firewall ) with Bitdefender antivirus Plus you will see the results .

First of all, this is a great site!!! Now I see you all discuss a lot of different anti-virus programs, like Kaspersky, however, I do not see anything about Trend. I have used many of the AV programs you speak about including Trend. I think Symantec is a resource hog, McAfee is okay, but I have used Trend in two companies that I have worked in the past and never had an outbreak, while I or we have using both Norton and McAfee. Believe me, I know the holes is Trend, I am not saying it is the saviour by any means, but I have had good success with it. Is there any reason Trend is not a topic here? Has anyone else used any Trend AV products? I am using Trend Micro AntiVirus 2007 trial version right now on my home/work laptop. I like it so far, but was wondering what you thought of it. Please, let me know what you think?

Boromeo if your here, you said your scan took a really long amount of time. Know I know you were exaggerating it because no anti-virus scan takes over 5 hours, I run 8 anti-spyware scans at a time and they take 5 hours and they are all completed.
Your next scan would have been ALOT less time if you have the iSwift and iChecker technology on (Which it should be by default). Someone on wilders posted about his first scan taking 2 hours, his second scan took a half hour, his third scan took 15 minutes and his last scan took 7 minutes. The first scan with Kaspersky is always slow, learn the technology before you judge it. You seem about as trustworthy as PD1447 when it comes to proving Kaspersky sucks. Which he still hasn't succeeded in.
