it's very disturbing that kaspersky realese every week a new BETA but never realese a stable version.

there was a release, not sure what the number is but what you find in the store is release code, there will always be beta and so on

this will never stop till maybe 2007 is started

and this happens several weeks.

never download this shit until Kaspersky can update to a new version without uninstall.

Kaspersky is, and since version 5 has always been crap.

AVOID IF YOU HAVE A COMPUTER OF ANY VALUE!!

The protection sucks and the system strain is rediculous.

Use NOD32 and a good firewall and forget about this junk, all it ever will be is a big FAILED experiment.

I've tried many such programs and so far Kaspersky is the best. If you want to talk about a hog, that doesn't work, then talk about Norton.

i try most of em on and off and i did an experiment..

i infected my machine with a well known key logger
nod32 didn't even raise an alert at all lol
so i did a full system scan and then guess what ? hahah
Virus, viru,s virus, it started screeming, so it said do wannna remove em ?
i said yes rebooted and nothing changed i was still infected.

i removed nod (obviously lol) and put in kaspersky and it found it immediatly
and said do wanna remove it ? i fo sho dawg do it up..
guess what ? it removed it lol
I figured i'd take it a step further..
i ran the keylogger again and WHAM KAV caught and stopped the BS right there
Kaspersky prevented the infection and was capable of properly removing it.

Lesson here ? don't believe the hype ;)

And the non stop betas are lame ill stick with the last final version posted

Kaspersky is pure beta. It IS Crap. It's detection engin is far from perfect(they all are). Kaspersky has barely a 40% in the wild detection ratio. Compared to others such as GData and od course NOD32 using kaspersky is the digital version of russian rullet.

If you listen to the idiots that hawk this crap here the only thing you can tell for sure is that none of them should be in possesion of a computer be it a dell or a fisher price, they are just to fukin stupid.

If you rely on kaspersky, and truly belive it works...well your stupid. Sorry that as nioce as I can put it. Your a moron, Kaspersky does NOT do what you people think it does. I proved it. Not by typing this to a bunch of idiots. But by creating 4 test beds and testing for 10 days on my own in a controlled situation and a T1 connection.

The real facts are that kaspersky missed over 60% of all the viruses we threw at it and all of them came from the wild.

GData and NOD32 are the best..pick one!

btw , i don't use any AV now , no firewall except XP's , i don't need it.
My hard drive is 20 gig with an image of about 7 gig , i'm knowledgeable in what i download , even using limewire and emule , but if i do get caught i'll just reinstall my image , which takes 11 minutes , soooooooooo there :)

Put your operating system on your smallest hard drive , install all of your favourite programs and drivers.
Use Acronis True Image ( or any other imaging software you prefer ) to make yourself a DVD image.
Use your other hard drives , if you have any , for storage , including a copy of your image incase you need it.
**[ 9down.com refused this word ]** antivirus programs that clog up your system and slow it down , you don't need them , they're more trouble than they're worth.
If you're careful , you don't even need a two-way firewall , and the XP one will suffice.
if you do accidentally click a trojan and get hacked or virused , install your image and start again , it only takes a matter of minutes - DON'T LET THE FUKKERS CON YOU into thinking anything else.
