Yeah most are blacklisted... If you want to stay safe you could uninstall Kaspersky just type in an email @ Kaspersky.com ... And get a 30 day free trial... Thats what I've done so far... And then when it runs out I'll look for some keys.

it slows down your computer , the disks scans r very slowwwwwww (and they say they improve it hopefully..lmao) and there r viruses and trojans i had on my comp that Nod32 detected and not Kaspercrap !! and Nod32 doesn't have like 100000000000000000000000000000000000000 betas !
Nod32 not having a constant stream of beta's is a bad thing, it means that beta testing is done in a controled enviroment where you can't get the variables that public beta testers can achieve.
it also means it isn't worked on as much as kaspersky.
i would stick with Kaspersky, BECAUSE it has so many beta's.
its a good indicator of the products support.

I have switched all my rigs to Vista.
The need for a good solution security wise is crucial.
I havent been a fan of Kaspersky for 2 resons.
1. Its heavy on the sstem.
2. Weak AV and FW.
However the lack of desireble security suites forces a re-evaluation of this hopefuly refurbished tool.
I am currently retesting kaspersky on 2 out of 6 of my machines.
1 is a Pentium 2.8 w/1gb ram and 945 base mb.
the other is a Pentium 3.06 ghz w/1 gb ram and a 965 base mb.
All 4 rigs are running nvidia base cards ranging from 5600ultras to 7900s and 5 are running ultimate and one home premium.
SO far so good after 4 days. No serious slow downs to report of the kaspersky rigs and they are gaming well. The other machines are running equly well running NOD32.
The only real concern at this point is whether or not kaspersky can protect as well as NOD32.
I will give it a couple more days then scan the kaspersky machinees with NOD32 and see what(if anything) the kaspersky rigs missed. The NOD32 engine is superior to kaspersky so we"ll see whether or not it can protect as well as eset.
Hope fully the results will be in kasperskys favor. Life would be much easier if we could trust kaspersky and in return we get a security suite that works for vista.

Hey kid, we know you've had a tough break and feel hard done by and all that, but you are kind of spamming the site and you know what some folks are like around these parts :-) This is a software news forum not a forum of retribution or emotional blood-letting. As I have already stated, its best policy to implement only well-established, tried and trusted security apps with a good reputation and avoid these fly-by-night apps like the plague. OK, you've had a bad experience, learn from it and move on, there aint no point being all bitter and twisted. I really do hope that you don't extend this attitude to other aspects of your life. Anyway, thanks for the info, you've made your point, but please do tread carefully around these parts :-)

actually.. i installed kaspersky build 411 on a friends machine recently.. and it works poorly, it takes ages to load the icon.
im sure its a driver conflict there somehow... the machine needs a format anyway as the drive has developed bad sectors.... gunna need to get some low level software and erase the drive completely
If that's the case, that drive is dead as far as an Operating System goes.
You won't even be able to Image it, and its reliability will surely get worse in a very short space of time.
I'd just fix the format, create partitions maybe, and use it for temporary storage or games etc.
