A safe way to remove viruses from a computer without the risk of getting infected
Boot from the Kaspersky Rescue Disk to scan and remove threats from an infected computer without the risk of infecting other files or computers.

Burn this ISO image to a CD, insert it into the infected system's CD-ROM drive, enter the PC's BIOS, set it to boot from the CD and reboot the computer.

This lists the Gentoo-specific options, along with a few options that are built-in to the kernel, but that have been proven very useful to our users.

Also, all options that start with "do" have a "no" inverse, that does the opposite. For example, "doscsi" enables SCSI support in the initial ramdisk boot, while "noscsi" disables it.

But after a few month, it won't be useful because it will be out of date. Is it true?

You can always create your own Recue Disk using KAV/KIS. Open KAV or KIS, click SCAN, choose Create Rescue Disk. Just follow the instruction and you will have your own made Rescue Disk. You can create new Rescue Disk anytime you want.

Hi buddies... I downloaded this ISO and wrote it to a blank cd, but when i restarted the computer with Boot Priority 1.CD, it did not pick the CD, i tried that cd on other computers as well but didn't work.

The second issue is that i created my own Rescue Disk using KIS 2009 and wrote that to CD. It worked as a charm and was picked at the boot. I ran the KAV and it did pick more than a thousand of viruses but the issue is that it did not delete any virus as it said that my KAV is not registered although the KIS2009 from which i created this Resc. Disk was registered.

Can someone guide me on these two issues??
