As we previously reported, the “Longhorn” Developer Center on MSDN was going to be launched today. Microsoft first unveiled these plans in late September in preparation for this years Professional Developers Conference ’03, an event where 7,000 attendees will receive Build 4051 of the next generation operating system.
Dozens of feature articles are now available covering everything from Aero and Avalon to Indigo and WinFS. Chris Sells, Editor of the MSDN content team, has also announced that there will be discussion groups available. You can view the MSDN Newsgroup page here. Users will be able to access the group by both NNTP Newsreaders, such as Outlook Express, and Web-based clients.
