While it is true that Maxthon was called MyIE/MyIE2 a while ago and Internet Explorer's rendering engine is default, that does not make it developed by Microsoft.
The rendering engine can be changed to Gecko (Mozilla's rendering engine).

Yes it is true that Microsoft had this as their "featured addon" when they released Internet Explorer 7, but that was very likely just because the team leader of the Internet Explorer 7 developers openly stated that "a scaled down" Maxthon was his goal with Internet Explorer.

And no, I'm not a "fanboy".
I'm using Firefox, IE7, Maxthon, Opera, PSP Browser, lynx, links and telnet depending on which one of them does what I am trying to do best...

Now I see the reason why stupid people choose Opera or Firefox, they think also that Linux cames from Microsoft and hardly knows the difference between brands and trademarks. :-D
