Control centar if I remember right ,that is most pushy annoying thing on the world (once upon a time you can even remove that auto-advertising thingy), beside that resources consumption is enormous. McAfee is a retarder of your PC.
Nod32 is a god in antivirus industry.

The resources VS uses are as much as nod32.
Nod32 is good but sometimes 'misses' to catch the virus! It happened here few times.
I switched to McAffee and never had any problems!
Besides Nod32 updates are pain in the ass!

All i can say is that McAfee is best at FW, but rest of it it piece of junk. I've got it and tested, but it was so slow and afterhat it burden my RAM on top.
I've bought NOD32 and it's the best buy ever, which i've done. It's fast, accurate and it has gor new AS detection.
If i could choose my 2nd best AV program that would be
maybe Avast or F-Secure.

McAfee is not best in FW (if FW means firewall), there is a two home software firewalls by McAfee if I remember right. One of them is Personal firewall plus that is the worse one and second one was came with mcafee antivirus 7 ,I dont know if it is ever be available like stand-alone application but it was pretty much like real firewall.
Personal firewall plus is not a serious firewall, it is for children or for person who dont want to know anything about processes wich is runing on they computers for them this aplication is good ´cos is simple with lack of any serious options ,it looks good but this is not means that it is a good firewall, try some of these leak tests on the web and you will know what I talking about.
If you wish the best home firewall you will install Outpost firewall pro and right configurate him (that is of crucial importance for safe networking).

MaAffee Anti Virus is BEST among all, thats what my experience with AV says!(just look at difference b/w yahoo and hotmail services)
As Far as FireWalls are concerened, I have used many of them and think nothing has got better features than ZoneAlarm but its has got many inherent problems like it conflicts with ISA proxy client and so does the McAffee's Firewall. I must advise either BlackIce Defender or Seagate they are the Best in Town, as far as feature and reliability is concerned. I have also used outpost but didn't found anything better not enough features to play with.I am still looking for improved Firewall in case of Zone Alaram, Don't know if the conflict still exists!

You are on your company firewall arent you? You must be awere that you can not have two diferent firewall on your comp. Acctualy ´cos that kind of poeple like you ,your company is behind ISA server ,and with your behavior your company is in real danger.

Your expirience with AV is questionable if you can write that S.H.I.T above.
As Far as FireWalls are concerened you are 100% insane. BlackIce Defender is most leakyest S.H.I.T on the world. That software doesnt have outbound application connection awareness at all. NetworkICE mislead their own users into believing that BlackICE Defender was capable for outbound blocking which the entire industry knows it is not. Windows firewall is better then this s.h.i.t.
Please do not mislead readers of this post ´cos someone could actually install that S.H.I.T. of programs that you recommended.
Only feature that you can play with is your D.I.C.K.
