i dloaded it...installed it but i cant seem to get it to work. live messenger doesnt show nethin bout plus afterwards. even the plus menu is gone

i talked to some guys in the msgplus chatroom n they said dat this leaked version has been disabled in the server meanin unless theres a work around theres no way of usin it

If you would like a work around, just disable your network connection install Msg Plus and then start up Messenger, you should now have Plus! as a menu. Now enable you connection again and sign into messenger and there you go. The only problem is every time you start up messenger with plus you have to disable you network connection first.

This is how to get it to work. Edit the host file Windows XP = C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/ETC/hosts Windows 2K = C:/WINNT/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/ETC/hosts Win 98/ME = C:/WINDOWS/hosts Add 127.0.0.1 www.msgplus.net to it.

It seems that we are tricked with this Live Beta. It is some kind of virus or trojan which hacks hotmail passwords like i noticed. I cannot access my hotmail account anymore and even the messenger can not sign in. Asks for a password. Tried the recovery password through alternative e-mail address, but, it seems that it is changed too. Did someone else experienced this problem.
I do not know, can someone help in this matter? Or it is hopeless?
Will e-mailing and complaining at hotmail may help?

There is and was some fakes going around that was viruses, but the one from msgshit is real and legit. I figured whoever posted it got it from there or from someone that got it from there and had tested it. I know the one from msghit is real go download it from there if the one on here is a virus.

haha, this aint no virus. hell, even patchou knows this build was leaked. why don't you just download it and scan it yourself (just extract the downloaded exe cause if the stupid 9down picture and link file and included)

The virus (or something else evvil) is maybe at installation of adwares which is as option in installation. Or, maybe someone can gain control with that program i do not know, but wierd things hapenned after installation of it. Also and I must recommand you not to install Plus! For your safety. Please, if someone else had noticed some problems to share with us.

This is no virus. I just checked it out myself. If anyone had their passport hacked or anything like that it was not from this file. Only thing is it comes with adware. It is your choice to install the sponsor(adware). It is clearly shown and gives you a option to install or not install the sponsor.
