Hi, I have an issue..I am unable to Boot my Compaq C770tu notebook from any of the downloaded Windows XP SP2 or SP3 CD. They are working on PC but not on Laptop.

ISO IS A BOOTABLE FORMAT I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS TILL TODAY I USED NERO EXPRESS 6 I WENT UNDER DATA DISC AND MADE A ISO FILE OUT OF WINDOWS SERVICE PACK 2 PRO AND I WAS LIKE IM A BURN IT ONTO A CD WITH NERO AND WORK JUST FINE AUTORUN IN ALL

The DivX codec is causing MP11's video library to CRASH MP11.On fresh installed xpsp3 slipstream.
BUT not if all was installed in xpsp2 then updated to sp3.
(.net framework suffering issues under these conditions aswell.)

This is just the sp3 update on a disc not full operating system for those asking.

The update file can be extracted fom the cd unpacked and slipstreamed to an unpacked xp disc for burning aswell.

this's a very googd update. Just install it over intalled win xp!!!
Add more safety an speed!!!

You gotta laugh - you guys asking for a serial for SP3. It's just a service pack, not the actual Windows! And the guy who says you should use WU if you're only updating one PC - I beg to differ. Whether it's one PC or ten PCs, an offline install is best 'cos the online method may keep stalling and take forever. I downloaded the complete SP3 update for offline installation and it worked okay, the online method was hopeless.
